Schwarzenegger's Nazi fetish.

I am not sure it is any comfort, if your Governor dreams (of being) a dictator AND a God. How would you feel, if your Queen wanted to be God and rule over you as a God?
Being a Teenager is not an insult. It's just that it is not a productive use of time to argue with teenagers. I believe, that it is not a controversial assertion that one is likely to run into teenagers in the Internet.

No, actually the point is that it's not a **** symbol. The skull-and-crossbones is symbol of death going back several hundred years, and was borrowed in one form by one SS regiment, the Totenkopf (Death's Head). Their version of the badge was a very specific one, and it's not the one Schwarzenegger is wearing. What he is wearing is just a skull-and-crossbones, just as what the Hells Angels wear is just a skull-and-crossbones. If he'd been wearing a lightning-bolt SS symbol badge I'd be at his door with a burning torch myself, but this is someone reading far too much into far too little.

BTW You're still missing the point: Arnie didn't say he wanted to be a dictator or a god, he was saying that he admired people who were remembered for hundreds or even thousands of years e.g. Dictators, Jesus etc... The point he was making in a rather insensitive way is that he wants to be remembered by future generations.
And Religion isn't my strong point, but wasn't Jesus supposed to be the son of God??
I think your arguments might need a little work
Arnie may be a bit of a knucklehead, but a ****.......
As argued above, the ***** twisted and brutalised a great deal of art/philosophy to suit their own agenda; it doesn't make it theirs! A good example is the work of Nietzsche

Symbolism Matters
Symbols do matter, even if they are not the anatomically-correct version of the original symbol. ***** still today use many versions of the skull and crossbones to indicate **** (or sometimes also Satanic sympathy). This logo below was apparently used by Downing Street recently:
Even though it is not a historically-correct version of the Swastika, there was still an uproar about it and use was discontinued. So, it happens, even in Good Old Britain. The object is not to "prove" that Schwarzenegger is a "****", but just to raise awareness that the use of such a symbol by a sitting Governor is highly inappropriate. If most Americans understood what he is alluding to, his political career would be over, and rightly so. Just trying raise awareness and to explain why Schwarzenegger wears such a symbol. Partly, because I enjoy doing it, even with know-it-all british teenies.
If you teenies want to admire someone, admire Winston Churchill, who was truly a great leader and remember your own grandparents and great-grandparents, many of whom stood nearly alone against Fascism/Nazism until help finally arrived. All things are not relative. What Bomber Harris did under Churchill may or may not have been justified, but they were trying to STOP Nazism -- not exterminate the Germans -- and it can not be compared morally to the Holocaust, sorry boys.

Progressive Governance Logo
Here is a link to the Swastika Logo used by Downing Street recently. Enmbedding the image apparently doesn't work.

Tristain,
Go have a beer mate and chill.
It may have been insensitive to some for Arnie to wear a Skull and Crossbones belt buckle, but, hey, ranting on about it is just publicising the issue (if it is an issue) more.
Bottom line is, a skull and crossbones is just that, without any partciular sentiment behind it.
Getting all up your own **** accusing posters in this thread to be teenies is just not going to work. If he's a ****, so what? Really - its not as if he has the ultimate power to do anything about it.
In any event, he lives in a part of the world where freedom of expression is not just available, but promoted.
Clearly this whole issue offends or infuriates you. To now try and counter with the point that you are doing of for any sort of fun is laughable - you are far too transparent for that.
Either that or you are just trolling. You Joined this month and have You have 9 posts, all of which are on this thread. Seems a bit strange.

Freedom of speech does not mean that a person can not criticize what is being said. That is a common misunderstanding. Freedom of speech means that the Government can not deny you the right to express and opinion. Schwarzenegger can wear whatever symbols he wants, even a Swastika, but that does not mean others are not allowed to comment on it. Some people would find it bizarre that you guys hang around here every day talking about cars, but that is apparently they way you get your jollies. Whatever turns you on, as we say.

The Union Jack is often used by BNP activists, does that mean anyone who flies the flag or wears something with the Union Jack emblem on it is a BNP member or racist?
PS. I think you'll find there are v few "teenies" on here!

Only people that sound like Teenies?

@ChunkyDunky -- So you think Arnold Schwarzenegger may have been going to a Pirate or Holloween party immediately after the shoot of the cover for Time Magazine? Lol. And they say that teenies aren't predominate in this forum?

Swatika Logo used by 10 Downing Street.
Let's try this again. Here's the swastika logo that was used by the Prime Minister's office.
Just because the Buddhists use swastikas too, doesn't mean it's a Buddhist Swastika, or that most people would find it acceptable.

Here is the image of Arnold Schwarzenegger from Sports Illustrated (Dec, 7, 1987, p.84) in his signature Heil Hitler pose.
And the standard with Death's Head, similar to Arnie's, of Hitler's SS bodyguard.

Schwarzenegger wants to allude to Nazism without it being exactly identifiable. He is an expert on image and popular culture. He knows what it can mean and he was not headed to a Pirate Party afterwards, I believe.
There is a Death's Head fashion trend in recent years. You see lots of people wearing Death's Heads. This trend was prompted in large part by industrial and metal rock bands, who tend to display a lot of satanic symbols. **** symbols are displayed by satanists, because they see Hitler as a prophet of the Apocolypse. Most people aren't aware what it means, but Schwarzenegger is an expert in popular culture and he knows how it can be taken. He wants people to take it that way. He has promoted himself for years in this way. Also, I believe, people think they know Arnold, because of his movies, but don't realize what kind of perverse ideas he has.
