Just got mine from that original link from eBay Japan £80 in total and only took 4 days to turn up (does that not work out cheaper than the group buy). They really are incredibly light and the quality looks top class so thanks for everyone that’s advised me they are a top buy.

 

How tight do you tighten them ??

£80, without paying any VAT, import duty or handling charges it's a couple of quid cheaper. You may have got away with it, or maybe not - could get a letter in the post weeks, if not months later demanding the £30+ that you owe HMR&C.

You can't expect the Trails to take that risk for everybody.

Also, I'm not saying they're not genuine, but the prices they provided for extended nuts are nowhere near in line with the additional cost charged by the original manufacturer (some 20% premium for extended).

Frayz: They will be ordered and delivered within the timeframe given before, but bearing in mind we are now running behind still waiting for 2 payments.

Two weeks later you will get a letter from the courier/handling agent asking for payment on behalf of customs plus fees. This Jap place doesn't fill in the shipping costs correctly and you WILL pay VAT on the assumed shipping costs estimated by customs. For me this was $51 but may be more may be less and you may get away with it (unlikely). Too early to matey After a little discussion I ended up paying £95 so the GB is a good deal IMHO

 

If its possible i would like to change to the extended length in black if not let me know and I will complete payment on the standard length. If it is possible to change how do you pay for the extended length as there is no option for them on the drop down menu

 

Bob is absolutely correct, I used to buy lots of BMX kit mid to late 90's form the States and you will get stung with VAT and import duty and more than likely a handling charge. I chose Bob because he is a trusted UK supplier, even if his price appears more costly initially it will work out cheaper and stress free in the long run
