Thanks Duncan.

The folder is excellent David, it takes so much of the stress/hassle out of bending sheet metal and gives excellent results.

I dropped the tank off at the machine shop today so am hoping to get it back on Friday ready for painting over the weekend before fitting on Monday. Fingers crossed!

Time's run away with me so i've decided to have the tank powder coated while i'm offshore rather than paint it. I got it back from the machine shop though, they removed some of the weld from around the mounting lugs so i can now bolt the tank to the inner wing.

It mounts surprisingly securely using just two of the existing M6 'studs' which protrude through the inner wing.

A general shot of the engine bay showing the tank in situ.

I also modified a spare sump i had by fitting an extra M20x1.5mm boss i machined from some hex steel. This has also gone to have the outsides tidied with a bit of powder coating.

Tank coated and jewellery fitted.

Demister pads installed.

Fitted but need to buy a forged -10 45 degree fitting to get a nice hose run around the inner wing.

Old sump...

Coated sump with bosses fitted (SPA temp sender shown).

The plan is to change this for a banjo fitting to restrict reverse flow a little. However, (again) a 45 degree adaptor is required to make a nice hose run.

Finished off with some fire sleeve.

Carl,

Could I use another hose from the CC to the intake instead of the breather for better piston/ring seal?
