Ok if i was a garage and was useless it would take me 2 hours...i think the going rate is about 75 quid an hour...so thats 150 quid....the part will probably cost around 80 quid (didnt check yet just a guess) the garage will charge you upto double for the part. so you have 160+150=310. so i guess your looking at 310 or less!

If you find a good place...with great mechanics and crap coffee you could be talking 110 quid.

Auto electricians are usually failed machine repair electricians or worse have no qualifications at all. Make sure none of your trim is broken and drive the car before you pay....they have a habbit of leaving coils of wire that rattle and annoy you to bits rather than cutting them to lenght and making them off.

As of next friday i will no longer be a subaru owner...less some asshat broadsides my part ex into family life....Im now working as an engineer in a glass works...the money is good and i work 4 days and get 6 off. Ill be looking in from time to time. Please can i come and get oily working on your car..I have my own hammer......JK....No m8 if you ever need to ask i think you can get my e-mail from here...there are some good people here and there are some knockers...some will tell you the slightest mod will give you 30%bhp others will tell you it will kill your car forever. In my experience dont pay any of them till you tested what they did..Example...my brother in law took his brand new ford focus st for its first service. He paid and drove it out..20 miles later he broke down. The GUY forgot to put the sump plug back in so all the oil went on the floor. He got his book stamped though...Service history...lol
