Very Nearly Lost MY Dog This Afternoon!
Lisa
1. My vet was not open on Sunday - I rang the Emergency number (actually the wife did as I was lying with my dog watching her closely and listening to any sign of laboured breathing) .... the vet said that if the breathing was normal it is probably not an emergency. The vet said that they would open the surgery for an assessment, but they may say "come back Monday".
2. They would not operate on a Sunday if not an emergency, and the vet said that the signs were not life threatening. Please bring her in on Monday if we are still concerned.
3. First available appointment 5:20pm Monday at the local surgery - they sent us to their bigger branch which has x-ray machines and endoscopy equipment and kennelling .... not an emergency, but they did the job Monday evening.
I doubt that treatment would have been available any earlier had I acted Sunday night ....... but, I am not about to be judged by the ScoobyNet idiots - I did what I saw right for my dog.
It's easy to shout and be negative .... it's the same people who moan about everything else from petrol prices to education to policing to emission limits - but they do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about it except moan on here and put people down ........... I'm happy to ignore then if you are

Like I've said before, I hope she is back to her old self soon.
Píssy, PM me the dogs bloodline and a recent picture then as you promised to do before and failed.
It has nothing to do with you not taking action quicker either, before the kippers start.
It's Pissy Lewis we are talking about here, you know the Hans Christian Anderson of SN!!
Diesel, more kippers?

Love to the doggy if I'm being WAY to cynical here LOL, but you gotta have a chuckle even IF it is true

D
Its always the same tho folks
Pete sticks up a scenario which cannot be dissproved or proved and which he has all the answers allready to any questions
So why exactly bother ?

She seems settled ..... 4 weeks of Anti-Biotics mind you!!
2 weeks of 'on the lead' walks ..... that's not going to happen as she is under 'voice control' and I'm not putting a lead around her neck/throat.
5 days of pain killers.
She keeps visiting her dinner bowl .... so, she's feeling well enough to want to eat .... I'll give her some supper with the anti-biotics and painkillers inside
Thanks for your reasonable posts Lisa .....

You couldn't ignore yourself if you tried, let alone others.

- if the dog's not the verge of croaking it, lying in a giant pool of blood, or bones sticking out, they generally don't see it as an emergency.
Are you under the doctor for Mental Health problems, really - I am being serious .... your obsession with me is not normal.

and several hundred before that

I agree wholeheartedly, he will be laughing his weiner off, that's my point entirely.
Everyone knows that I go by the name of MrRee all over the net ...... I am famous for many places, not just ScoobyNet
I'm coming to the conclusion that what Spoon and Diesel and the like yearn is my ability to string a few words together in a coherent sentence which stirs the souls of others and generates interest .... whilst their threads and posts disappear into the 'also-ran' ether
Sad, so sad .......

The fact that you are in my audience means that I interest you, stir you and move you ....... you hang on my every word

If ever I become engrossed in one of your threads please be my guest and state that I have become outclassed ...... until then I shall make you post like a puppet whenever I desire and the whim takes me

I command you to respond ....
Could you please string the words together in a coherent fashion? Even loosely making sense would give us a clue as to what you are going on about
Ha Ha Ha Ha ..... yeah, OK ...... who owns who? It is quite clear to all that I post and YOU respond.

You know the one that you posted on.
You were ignoring people remember but you couldn't, what's that tell you.
Well done - you are at a disadvantage when crossing keyboards with me, I'd give up now if I was you.
Any news about those GSD Puppies?

At best I'd call you dillusional if you honestly think you stand a chance.
However, you cover your losses well.
The puppies have disappeared but the reward has gone up to £3,000 thanks to 2 more £500 donations.
You MUST be posting as an alias ..... you have only been posting 14 weeks, with 200 posts and you feel you can stand up to the King of Scoobynet?? Hmmmmmm, something smells fishy me thinks ......
