Quote: I actually had the new GTR in mind when I did the lottery last night (for the first time in a while) But I see they picked the wrong fookin numbers again
Same luck as me then
Quote: Certainly makes the back end much easier to look at, I hate the original lights.

Love those lights!

Glad you like the GTR Tony It sets the bar very high, I don't think anyone realised just how good it would be. Still, we like a challenge

Iain,

The trouble is th GT-R has raised the "Bar" not by a couple of mm but by a Metre I can't imagine getting the T25 near it but if you do, I don't want one, I need one

When we got to the Petrol station, my cheeks were aching from grinning so much and to be fair you were worse than me

Your absolutely correct, not even close IMHO

Have a look on the GTROC.. There's a thread on there where another R35 GTR owner gets a blast in the Audi R8 the same day (at the same track where his GTR comfortably beats the 911 977 Turbo) and he said he was glad to hand the keys back for the R8.

litcho is hoping to use the GT-R as a bench mark for his prototype 08 STi TYpe 25 to beat after being out in the GT-R i don't reckon the new T25 can match it but if it does it will be

“Beat” might be a bit strong Tony. The last Type-25 was supposed to have similar performance to the 997 turbo which it managed What the GTR gives is a fantastic reference point to the kind of performance the car will need to have.

We are lucky that we have access to some of the finest driver’s cars out. Already during the development of the Type-20/25 models we have been back to back testing the GTR, MY07 Type-25, RA-R and Civic Type-R All bring something different to the table.

Don't want to split hairs but the 05 STI Blobeye doesn't have chav lights, mine certainly hasn't; nice red ones. The 06 and 07 are very chavish though

Testing is tough, we're forcing ourselves to go to the Nurburgring soon

We have the rear lights removed and a local company wrap the lights for us. It's very tricky and not something I'd want to sell as a kit but we are ordering in some spare light units so we can do it on exchange

We have done a FD2 Civic Type-R suspension kit which you can see on our site, brake pad upgrade and we've tested Mugen Airbox which will be shown on our site next week. At the moment thats all the car needs, it's near perfect with just these changes Great car.

Iain I know it won't be for the lack of trying though

Iain,
How many Maps or variations of maps can the new 08STi hold.
is it 2 full maps that one could run eg. say run 95ron and 1.3bar and associated cam/ign timings and the other 105ron and 1.8bar associated cam/ign timings.

Nice one, lucky get. Don't 'spose you could do one of them for £17K do you?

I've seen quite a few go through the auctions now, cheapest was starting at £35K.
