Well, there's actually one person in the whole of Belgium with that surname (to my surprise, I must add), and none as far as I can see in The Netherlands. Or they just prefer not to have phones, that's always a possibility

From what I have managed to find out, it seems her family moved to the UK during her childhood, possibly because of her Dad's work for Proctor and Gamble.

Fair enough. Just strikes me as odd that someone is Dutch, born in Belgium, has a very unique name and first name, and uses that to scam people, and plasters it all over the interweb. Not saying it can't be, but there's very clever scammers about as well.
