Was it Jimbo's?

We had first refusal but were spending our cash on racing and it would have spent its life in the garage - All the same... (sob).

Edited to add:

It was our wedding car!

Can you lot tell me a bit more about the 22b..?

I understand it's a factory widebody, has a 2.2 engine (?) and is pretty rare. I also agree that it's a gorgeous looking car. But, apart from that, I know nothing....

Nicky Grists car was one of 3 original 22B prototypes made by STi. 2 were brought into the country before the Type UK 22B was launched. McRae had the other prototype. The third prototype 22B was Subaru's Japanese press car...

The 22B STi is a beautiful car, my 22B (#377) isn't in as tidy condition, but I use it as it was intended to be used on as many welsh B roads as possible...

Not to my knowledge and I owned it for many years. I bought it from Park Lane in Alton in May 2001. It still had all the plastic film covering the foot sills seats etc. It is now without doubt the best non modified 22b in the UK. The only upgrades I did were special AP callipers with larger 34 mm discs and the 3” exhaust from Scoobymania. The current owner (a true enthuiast) is a fanatic regarding this car. It was well known in Dorset when I owned it.
