I am trying to link up with benners to come down in tandem (not ON a tandem)from the far east.Should look good on the road,a UK300 & a STI7 together.
I have a Sat/Nav unit but pace notes are better.Best way in from A414 W.Gdn.City?
I get J4,then A1001 Hatfield to A1057 to St.Albans then straight up A5183.

Crest-easy right-500-3-to jump-dont cut-followed by fast left.

I take it that you all no how to get to the pub it is right next door to the shell petrol garage but be very carefull as there is a 30 MPH speed limit right out side the pub for about 100 yds.

Knowlsey - a slight hiccup has occured in the plans for Saturday due to having to collect new car from garage mid-morning to midday

Just looking at a map book, i've got two options M1 or A1.

Now the M1 is slightly further to travel but drops me in at Jct 10, down the A1081 into Redbourn.

The A1 looks the shorter drive but sticks me into Hatfield.

How hard is it in reality to get from Hatfield To Redbourn?

Looks easy on the map, but we've all been there. Also bear in mind that Amy me girly will be map reading Could end up in Reading if im not careful because it starts with the same letter as Redbourn. Only kidding.

So M1 or A1 you tell me, you live there

M1 Junction 9 ! Head towards St Albans ! its about 4 or 5 miles ! by far the easiest way to get there !

Ie heading south, off at 9, turn left at roundabout, straight over next roundabout, left at next roundabout, pub is 100 yds up on right !

Could it be any easier

The reason why i have chose this pub is because;

1,It is well close to most local fast roads.

2,It has a big car park.

3,It is on a saturday to please most people.

4,It should be well easy for everyone to get to.

5,It does good food.
