Well Done Mike, great to see you to the same track as the big boys, as Tiny said, shame about the technical issues. but you still looked very impressive around the track, and the overalls look
...
All the best for next year.

Fantastic day.
Some very quick machinery there Including your's Mike, as has been said, it was a shame but I think "Team Spirit" shone through.
Thanks to MarkB4 for fitting the flamer the other day
Hope you've got some wax left on the front of your car Kev.
Just starting the trawl through the 700+ (yes a new record
) pics
I may be some time.
P.S. Zak, do I get a free engine mapping if I don't post the WD40 pics?

Well what can i say????
What a day!!!!
The car blue the induction pipe off on the warm up... then out and mended for the first practice..... all was going very well, i pushed the viper round the circuit and just when she looked like she was going to do something about the blue flag... BANG!!! i burst the samco induction pipe!!!
it was all down hill after that.....
Massive thanks to Neil (YVM) for his help during and after the event....
thanks to Zak & Luke of Mocom for trying to get me back out on circuit...
Thanks to Ian (Bibo) for the loan of the induction pipe, just a shame it didn't solve the whole issue....
Thanks to Andrea & Mark (B4) for the help and support for my good lady wife!
And of course a massive thanks to all the 'ESC'..... I felt really bad that i wasn't able to put a better shown on for you all, but it meant loads that you all come out in force and showed such visual support and what being part of the ESC is all about....
At this point i feel i need to explain the Bigpower issue..... When i entered i did so on the back of a bigpower team that were planning to run, sadly most pulled out and i found myself as one of the few.... but it was due to big power that i entered and i own them that for sure! So thanks all the guys over on bigpower.....
but as can be seen by the T-Shirt and overalls the ESC is always first home!

Looking at it as your first year in competition,, i think youve done exceptionally well.
Just such a shame that a pissy problem like a burst samco put you out fella. I thought they would of coped with 1.8 bar without worry.
I think its clear both you and the car are a force to be reckoned with mate.
Roll on next year
Bigpower

Mike, No problem mate
Just to echo Frayz's comments, 1st year and already competitive is a very good result.
Although the competition will also improve next year, with the car where it is now, plus some further power and chassis improvements, and having learnt a lot this year, next year could be very competitive.
Samco hose - just checked their website, at that diameter it should be good for 15 bar!
Morning all...
What a great day... Well done Mike and his team for all the effort
It was a real shame about the couple of technical issues because as you said, you were pushing very hard and i could see a good time in the finals!!!!!
I'm glad the intercooler pipe helped.... I'm not sure if the reduced diameter did cause your running issue? but at least "we" got you out for the final run.
Thanks also to Tiny for making the In-laws day (they were very interested when I told them Subaru were doing deals on the outgoing impreza!!!). Little Bibo had a great day celebrating his Birthday too (well it's not until the 12th, but I'm away then).
Anyway, thanks to everyone....
And qoute of the day: Zak From Mocom Racing.......
Autobahn Saves the day!!!!!!

What a great day yesterday was, I agree with everyone else that it was a crying shame you had issues with the car. Without those you would have been right up there with the others.
It looked like Brands was a car wrecker yester as it was not just yours that ahd problems, a couple of cars blew head gaskets and there were numerous other issues.
If it makes you feel any better did you ever in your wildes dreams think you would be flashing a race-prepped Dodge Viper and asking it to get out of your way
Not many of us have that experience to remember when we're older
We're all proud of you Mike, you done well (Essex)boy

Guy's it's really good to hear that you enjoyed the day....
I had feared you would have thought it a wasted journey and day.
But i think despite my problems on the day, the event does offer interest in both the racing, the varied makes and types of car and the rivalry of different clubs and different pro-class tuners.
I think that is echoed by everyone plugging for the Zen car for being the underdog, but wishing you could drive home the RCM car

Great day all round. And the ESC team spirit was something to be proud of. You guys are the best.
It was a nice touch Mike when you appeared at the end of the garage block & gave us your acknowledgment wave. And the headlight flash as you ran in to start your hot lap & as you entered the pit lane at the end. Nice touch.
Jess & I wouldn't have missed this for the world & roll on next year bigger & better.
