Yep i spotted it today!

 

A few years back they used an Escort Cosworth from SCC in St Albans, Imperial Blue with RRRRRIIIIIIICCCCCKKKKKYYYYYYY driving it.

 

I'm sure I heard the wheels spin as Mellor ran like a girl

I wondered the same - it definately didnt sound right to me - but my ears are small and untrained...

 

That's a twin scroll car that uses the equal length headers and produces huge torque. But makes a non Subaru sound.

Crappy number plate? You're the only person I have ever heard of didn't think it was Ok, I've had offers for it, but it's not for sale. The Beeb were rather taken with it as it fitted the story line too.

Although he drove my car to a location shoot in East London and re-awakened his memory to Subaru declaring to be ' awesome.'

This is pretty freaky for me as people always say 'You look like that guy from Hollyoaks!' Will Mellor is his name. The freaky part is I have a WR Blue Blobeye STi8 which also looks pretty much the same as the car on the TV. See attached picture - what do you think?

Ironic that I bought an engine from API David years sgo - he did not know what I looked like and then dealt with someone that did!!
