everyones cars have moved up a notch !! mine will be pushing big 500's and i have never 1/4d my car , its just the game is moving on i would go for over 600bhp but i think my car would be off the road even more than what it is now

Has Andy said what the car is fuelled with? I'd make the presumption that he's using race fuel.. but curious.

Last I read, Andy F was running pure methonal, no spirit (Big cooling advantage).

Things may have changed since then, I'm not sure.

Regardless of Andy's results, he is a top guy, and on first impressions of meeting him while getting my mates car mapped, I rate his attitude and advice.

 

lol dunk, was held up an hour at max power crail on sunday because wow lets see this super douper evo do a 9. something and then blew up half way down the strip causing mass oil leaks everywhere as if the ques wasn't bad enough

 

I was actually going to say, Evo's are fast, if you can keep them from going pop. Diff's, gearbox's, etc...........

the class and prize structure made it more than ever worth entering in a std/low spec car alongside the "big boys"!

additionally there is a future possibility of running a staged/staggered tree on the shootouts so you could run off the 13.3s class car against the likes of andy, with a staggered computerised tree giving a head start and allowing first across the line to win! can be done and is very entertaining!

 

i only realised half way there that my tickets were still by the pc

v 5 man put a thread in policy to get hold of shaun, i got him in the end. managed to borrow Dill type r's top but he hasnt got it back yet

at least i got in

Interesting seeing Andy going back to top mount cooler (mahoosive one!)

Norris' evo is a monster but its overpowered for the circuit, RCM and Zen outran it easily with there setup, Andy's car could run low 9's all day, might even sneak a 8 when its dry

 

I really hope Andy gets into the 8's this year, he certainly deserves it!!!

SMG (Steve G) is another one to look out for, did a 9.3 a week or two ago (with a mis-fire)

 

WHAT!! an evo went pop?? funny you should mention that i saw one go pop at knockhill on saturday too, and they often slag us lot off for our cars going bang





in all fairness to this thing it was absolutly flying before it popped

 

that evo you mentioned is sam ellasers, (dentist) first time out, the oil filter de threaded its self, put oil all over the tyres, then an off

 

Couldn't handle the extra torque from those lexus lights...

The Crail Evo sounds really unlucky - how on earth did the oil filter dethread itself

Still - hope anyone who has a broken car from the weekend gets them back up and running soon; its not nice whatever it is.

 

true, i wouldent want to see anybody with a blown engine whether its a Scoob or a Evo, hope he get it sorted no probs as it was a ferking rapid machine to watch

 

I had an oil filter un-screw its self off my Astra. I'd fit a UNF threaded filter on a Metric threaded fitting it came off at a cross roads during a midnight staging session. No contact, just a long walk back to the workshop for another filter and some oil

 

With a great deal of self-deprecation I'm guessing

Still, its something to add to that list of "Bloody Stupid Things I've Only Done Once"

This is true, the skyline guys were b!tching and moaning about it (basically cause he was closing in on them as far as i can make out) so he had to switch back, something along thos lines anyway

 

I may be wrong but I would be very surprised if Andy did ANYTHING as a result of whispering in the skybus community.
