very nice indeed . .
I was wondering about the body roll as the Turbo MY00 I had was bit floaty but it seems the Sti is much stiffer ?

Much stiffer suspension, and on lower-profile 18's. It has the STi steering rack too, so that gets rid of the other cause of the floatiness.

Heres mine - 342bhp with Litchfields performance pack, a larger hyperflow TMIC and further remap. This has the aero pack as well hence the sideskirts etc which I think suit it. Up for sale soon...once the replacement arrives

Mine is the faster 'black' version, as I was not allowed to get white.....

Would be interested in hearing about the hyperflow, as Iain mentioned it to me....

Dodgy fog light switch seems to be the norm with the BMS installation. I had Subaru check it out and it is all working 'to requirements', but it is not just a case of changing the switch to get the 'OEM' affect....which is a shame.

Mine has the normal Subaru switch, I am currently working (slowly) on modifing the wiring to accept the correct switch for my sister (slower blue one).

I went for the faster blue option

I love it to bits (apart from the fuel it drinks)

Cheers Col

I had an M3 and an XC90 tried to combine practicality with performance and got the FSti on my brothers recommendation, so far so good, only other car I fancy is the RS6 !

Think its you that needs to take the pills. Most of us have 'Moved On...from an Impreza' and most of the FSTi's on this thread are out of the box with a Milltek and map producing 330/340....some quite a bit more.....

Sorry what bhp was a EDM / Type UK WRX STI cough...cough....

.....even with PPP it is not even close.

i think you will find that 99% of the cars on here are imprezas and no one has moved on from them at all !! i wouldnt buy a newer uk sti anyway even if i had the dosh....my older 555 is around the 320-330 mark and defo no slouch ! i actually like these foresters a lot (if you had read my next post) it was meant as a bit of fun ! i think they are too similar however to a stagea (i wonder where subaru got their design ideas )

I meant that people on 'this' thread had moved on from an Impreza...and it was a general pun at the 'Glad I moved on' thread still going on....

Having had three Impreza's and now a Forester, I would concur that it is better than an Impreza (flash back to Oasis 'bigger than Jesus' or was that John Lennon). It is afterall an Impreza with a different body....

The illusion of it being on stilts is not as bad as it seems. I am sure if VBH didnt play with the DCCD, the Forester would have been quicker...though not as quick as a black one...

Its not Iains problem, its BMS that installed the alarm. I found that the cables to the rear are hanging down out of the trim on the passenger side. Also took the alarm plunger out to see if they had used any wax to plug up/protect the bare metal.....nope! Did this myself....

The grey FSTi's are 04, so three years old and the cheapest up for 15k... which is around the 40% depreciation mark after THREE years.

Take a new 05 WRX that was 20k, and the next year it was worth 14.5k thats around 30% in one year........

I'll take the FSTi....

Default cheap foresters

I dont think they would depreciate that much only Car planet say in there add that they are only droppin the price to make way for the new shape that they have coming,so if lichfields were still the only importer they would still command strong money but it seems to be down to who wants the most profit out of them so the forester makes the impreza look bad on depreciation if you look at it that way. Not everyone likes the forester though there are more impreza followers so lets hope they get older and see the lite

EIRE .. I just bought some foam double sided sticky tape and also some strong sticky backed velcro. I'm slowly removing the rattles one by one.

If you pull the headlining back a wee bit you'll find the wires are just lying free and loose. Easy enough to stick down.

Avalyn.

You FSti looks very nice! I liked the comment 'Very nice indeed. I like the "dimpled" look of the cargo tray'

Anyways no news on fog light conversion as yet, brother is still trying to get his slow black FSti to go faster than mine !!! think he has taken the seats out now to try and speed things up

Not sure to be honest....are all your cars Ecutek mapped? Or did you get them from David Hendry?
