After much pounding the streets looking for a stable for the weekend this is what I have found.
Please bear in mind this is a Bank Holiday weekend & there is a large show on in the area so rooms will be going fast.
Halfway House Inn Country Lodge
Ilchester Road (A37),
Chilthorne Domer,
Yeovil,
Somerset BA22 8RE
Tel: 01935 840350
Halfway House Inn Country Lodge CLICK HERE
The hotel is 3 miles from the college (10 mins) & has a car park round the back with CCTV. Coming back late on the Saturday night is not a problem & we can look into getting a minibus to ferry us to & from the college bar.
There are 2 Shell garages (V-Power) within 5 miles.
The Deal
1. £67.50 PER ROOM PER NIGHT (Continental or cooked breakfast included)
2. I have provisionally asked for 5-8 rooms to be held for the 2 nights. (Friday & Saturday)
3. Table/tables for a Friday night evening meal should preferably be booked.
4. Deposit £50 PER ROOM Tel: 01935 840350 ask for Mike or Anna.

What a friendly welcome there is in store.

Just spoken to a Mrs Taylor (I have been told to call her Mrs T
), who along with her son runs the family owned Shell garage on the A303 @ Tintinhull. She will ensure they have plenty of V-Power in stock & has my details to keep in contact with me prior to the rally.Although not involved with this MENCAP rally her garage has done motoring events in the past & has connections with the Haynes museum just up the road. She is also using her local knowledge to find some transport for the Saturday night.
