Not getting involved as I don't know the in's and out's of this. BUT....

Even if it was only sent first class there should be a receipt for proof of postage! That will be enough for Fish to get compensation from the post office, either way you should not be out of pocket.

It is down to the sender to get proof of postage when dealing over a distance and I would have covered myself by paying for special delivery on an item over £50.

I hope this gets resolved to everyone's satisfaction.

Depending on how big the parcel is it might arrive later by post van, unless your postie has a post van. Just a thought

 

Or the postie with the van might have a day off....

 

The round still has to be covered (well they do in our office) but you can only deliver what you have got that day.

Parcel can take a day or 2 longer than normal letter post though

 

What If his DAD did post it?
& a postMAN/WOMAN has stolen it??

at the end of the day it isnt the first time hes done this, a simple search shows that

im back in the uk this week, and then I am going to sort this, even if I have to drive down to essex. my dad is ringing the police as well today.
