I had to include the company cars, I had company cars for about 6 years, the list would have been tiny otherwise and they were "mine". Although the Saab and the Audi I didn't have long.

The 'grale was awesome

Just a pity it became so unreliable, as most Lancias do unfortunately. Certainly was a head-turner though and cornered better than the scoob too!

That does look one clean car

I often have a look at them on e-bay, just bothers me about the reliability issues

Perhaps I am being a little unfair. The car wasn't always unreliable, there were just a couple of niggly things that kept happening and couldn't be diagnosed properly, even by Lancia specialist garages. It did run fine for some time but after the few issues I didn't enjoy driving it because I was waiting for something to go wrong. If you don't enjoy it, whats the point? So it had to go.

Unlike most of you mere sprogs, my history goes back to - wait for it! - 1961!!!
Ford Popular 100E 1172cc 1961
Ford Classic 1340cc 1962/63
Vauxhall VX4/90 (First car I modded.) 1963/64
Ford Cortina GT 1964
MG 1100 1964
Rover 2000 1964/66
Rover 2000 TC 1966/69
Rover 2000 TC 1969/71
Ford Capri 1600 GT XLR 1971/74
Datsun Cherry 1974/75 (don't take the **** - they were actually quite good at the time!)
Datsun Cherry Estate 1975/78 (to seperate my dog from my new-born son!)
Datsun Sunny 1200 Estate 1978/83 (To accommodate my R/C model aircraft)
Nissan Sunny Estate 1500 1983/88 ,,
Ford Sierra 1.8 Estate 1988/90 ,,
Ford Sierra Ghia 2ltr. Estate 1990/93 ,,
Ford Modeo Si (I had this converted to turbo by Power Engineering) 1993/99
Subaru Impreza Turbo 1999/03 (lots of mods and goodies 270ish bhp)
Subaru Impreza STi 2003 to present (Again, lots of mods and 340bhp)

Did you notice how I went through the "sporty" period early on (well, sporty for those days!) Then the sensible "family" period then finally emerged into the classic "mid-life crisis" bit!
Some great memories there!

Been around a bit longer than some of you, so had a chance to be in quite a few motors, some I remember, some I don’t.

Mid 70’s:
Escort Mk2
Hillman Humber
Simca 1100

Late 70’s, 80’s & 90’s:
Worked in the Motor Trade for 22 yrs and got Company Cars (always brand new ones) for most of that time. Had most of the British Leyland, Rover, Talbot, Simca (remember them?), Peugeot, Renault, Vauxhall, Toyota, Ford, Nissan, Hyundai, Honda range during those years – had cars on average for 6-8 weeks before they got changed, rarely had one for longer than that. I remember once having 5 cars in one month, every time I got one; the ruddy salesmen went and sold it! After a while, they just became bits of metal and were just tools to do the job (I did 40k-50k miles a year) so didn’t actually have the “pleasure” feeling that I get with my Scooby now.

00’s:
Left the Motor Trade, so no free car! Shock to the system, but got a cheap Astra 1.6 to run around in, then a Renault Clio Sport, then a GX Impreza, then a very brief (3 weeks) period with a Classic WRX, then P/X’d that to my current WRX and haven’t looked back since!
