just out of interest - why swap when you have obviously done a lot of work on your current car to get it to similar performance levels?

I'm not was trying to see what the difference would be with the JDM but to be honest I think I'm going to go for an Evo X when it comes out or something like a T25 to justify a move from this car. I'm actually very happy with it . Spools up really quick, low noise (noisekiller and miltek decat exhaust), serious ICE, talking reverse sensor's, Laser diffuser, Bluetooth car kit, stage 2 handling, AP 6 Pot's, blah, blah . My wife (who has an Evo) was also threatening "if you change this now you can't go for the Evo X or T25 in 2008" That sort of makes up ya mind

Not sure to be honest I will look at the chart I think I could have worked it out wrong as it's in NM hehe I must say I don't want to try a JDM as this car is so good I don't want the thought eating me that there is a better car out there as I know I would buy it. When I had the reading done at WRC it was c340 bhp/340ish torque (wasn't happy about the map and the prodrive exhaust was not as good as the 3" system) and Scoobyclinic about 342 bhp about 320 torque (I think but different exhaust) and last with the Miltek 355bhp and drives the best ever. To be honest I don't care now if it said 200 torque the drive is fantastic

The guy who I sold my Brembo's too had a couple of cars and one had a full 2.5 engine with 420bhp (fMIC, etc) and he was saying hey you could just transplant this! You know who you are stop it!!!!

I didn't say it 311nm I said the figure I had was in NM. I gave you my telephone number, told you had cash waiting and said give me a call (you still have my number have you given me a call???) I said I need a test drive to be convinced? Where is the phone call?? Thats right you didn't call (but this argument keeps your car at the top right?) Hehe so no worries.

My NM is in the 400's somewhere (I don't carry my chart around with me or memorise the figures) it was over 300 lb torque had 340 before but like I said I'm beyond caring for the figures I know what good torque feels like both in an Evo or a Subaru.

This is so funny. I will post the original email below in a mo so all can see and I say to you now I am right by my phone give me a call right now to see who wastes who's time. I am here right by the phone waiting lets see what happens. Here is the email with my number blanked out besides that here is the original email.

btw i have had AP6pots 356mm on my old scoob,

15k for a sti jdm with all the right bits is a bargin, 14k for a STI type UK is alot , btw how come you only get 311torque?

thanks

I have had 340 torque to be honest not sure but this car drives really well in fact not sure I'm going to go this route may upgrade to Evo X when they come out. I would need to do a test drive to decide though as I may find it too loud for me, etc which would mean more cost. I can put original parts on this car get £13500 for uk ppp then just sell the AP and extras for over £1k easy so not that fussed. So if you are interested I will need to do a test drive to see what the brakes are like on your exising car and if the difference is really worth £1k (for MY52) I have to admit I'm not convinced but willing to be wrong. Note I'm 36 going 37 soon Im not interested in being a test pilot unless there is a reasonable chance of buying the car. My phone number is 01952 XXXXXX what is yours lets arrange to meet as I'm available today, what about you?

Erm and my other email word for word

"
Just so you have a full spec of what I got on mine so you can see price wise very close to yours as is.

e)Eutek’d with Powerstation torque 311+ and 355BHP

2)Performance Upgrade Other
a)Whiteline ARB, Droplinks, etc (powerstation stage 2), Prodrive springs
b)Miltek Full decat exhaust (quiet enough on Motorways no bung necessary) and great sound otherwise
c)AP Racing brake 6 Pot ***
d)AP Front Brake Disc’s 355 x 32 (biggest that can fit under 18”) Changed this year maybe 3k miles ago at most
e)Ferrodo DS2500 pads (as above)
f)Toyo’s all round rears changed in Nov 2006

b)18” Prodrive wheels ***

Not sure what else I may have missed but all professionally done I too not really wanting to give up this car but do fancy trying out the JDM’s. Things we need to look at are marked with Asterix (***) as not sure I want to sell with the car. Especially when you say you want cash on top.

Please let me know soon if you are interested as I like to be serious about things if you are not then best I know straightaway and yes I have cash available depends on what we agree, test drive, blah, blah.

Thanks

Ray"

The end I'm still by the phone waiting for the call .......

Look at the thread from the top and see he called me a time waster I'm just putting the facts on the forum where he put his comments so all can see the conversation we had, the number I gave blah, blah. Like I said I have now moved on (read the thread above about what I hope my next purchase to be). I am defending myself. If he had sent his comments by email I would respond by email but like I said I am by the phone loler. Why don't you do a swap your 06 for his 52 jdm if you really think it's worth it and he agrees
