Default 455bhp and I'm well chuffed :o)

As you can imagine I'm over the moon.

I would like to thank Pat Herborn and Simon Roe who both made themselves available today at Surrey Rolling Road. Also to Charlie (owner of the RR) and Mark Aigin of Lateral Performance who organised this day.

Basically I met up with Simon (Jolly Green Monster) before going on the rollers, to give the map a fine tune. I have had NGK 8 spark plugs fitted and filled up with V-Power and a little octane booster. So once the map was tweaked and the car was peaking at a healthy 1.9 bar we went on the rollers (mapped on the road of course )

The run was done in 4th gear and with the lesser loading on the drivetrain the boost will not come on strong as early as in 5th. Also I have an H&S 53mm up-pipe, which Pat said was a lot bigger than necessary for this level of power - he recommends about 45mm or thereabouts - so this also affects spool.

In 5th gear on the road it hits peak boost at 4k rpm - on the rollers it is happening in 4th at 4.5k rpm.

It may look a little laggy, but with the short ratio RA gearing, it does not feel laggy and the acceleration is just blistering

As you can see the car peaked at over 1.9 bar on the rollers and held 1.8 bar to well over 7krpm - which is what it does on the road - so a very well set up RR

I have a video of it on the rollers which I will upload later and add to this thread.

This turbo (MD321T) is an awesome bit of kit, considering it is a standard position fitment

Cheers

Terry

Fantastic results Terry, very encouraging indeed.
Next I need to see Steve's results on his GT30 Hybrid. Then I can finally make my mind up on turbo choice.

Steve when are you expecting to have yours done by?

Cheers fellas

Nice one Terry......

It's a pity my car will be about 1/4m in front by the time you come on boost though!

Do yourself a favour and go the 2.5 route..... at least that way you can get the best out of what looks to be a very good turbo! Well done to Mark @ Lateral.

Terry,

Now I just need to talk you into fitting a better sized up pipe, and you'll be in for a bigger shock

Shaun,

I think this is something you should show us at the shootout. You v Terry over the 1/4

Mark.

Hey Shaun I'm happy with that

Think of it this way - if you put a monkey in a Top Fuel Dragster, I doubt he is going to run a 5 or 6s 1/4

So what do I have to worry about with YOU driving what maybe a more powerful and less laggy car

Jolly Green Monster,
Dont get over sensitive, because you have worked on the car. I always have some banter with Terry about his driving/car.

Congratulations to everyone that has worked on it, as it sounds a bit of a beast!

Just for you Shaun, if you had a 2.5 AND a 321T, this is what it could do at less boost

Someone make it visible will you?
