By all accounts Terry has already been on the rollers, but reading between the lines the figure obviously wasn't high enough as expected, so he wants to find another set that gives him the figure he wants!

The figures are just completely wrong - but the RR operator couldn't get a proper reading - so we called it a day.

Hence my desire to get a proper and accurate set of figures. I don't want over-inflated figures - I just want to know the reality.

Will know on 6th Feb - watch this space

Get it on the rollers Terry
Stevebt's is a full blown Garrett GT30 with external wastegate, but its not a standard GT30R, its a hybrid one, ie, its better than a standard GT30R

Colby's is 2.0l

Will be interesting to compare the power of your 2l to Alans 2.5l, as his car is simply awesome on the road.

interesting.. I just killed mine.. more oil on the outside than inside..

perhaps it needs interbreeding with something else if the inspecter issues a death certificate.

1.7bar.. nothing spectacular.. 16k miles in my hands, no dump valve.

started smoking slightly for no reason.. then oil poured out of front and ran out of oil filter dripping onto uppipe and on pulling the turbo off it has leaked from exhaust side too and dripped between exhaust housing and downpipe and coated driveshaft. with air filter off if I revved the engine there was enough oil coming out the front as was going into the turbo from the oil feed pipe I reckon.. went it went it was like Uncle Buck..

Just unlucky perhaps?

I was releved it was not the engine.. uppipe is dry headers end..

Simon

New plugs fitted today - NGK 8s - solved my problems - pulls like a speeding train now with no hesitation.

Roll on Tuesday for a bit of fettling/ fine tuning and then I should have a proper set of figures for it
