Me too otherwise I'm probably going to have to pull out of the groupbuy and go it alone, trackday at Spa & the 'Ring at the end of May and the chances of getting time off from work to have it all fitted before then is getting very slim!

Rich, count me in for Porche upgrade as well (I have a goodridge kit sitting here, might bring the cost down a bit )

Will be ringing as soon as that new 0% card drops through the letterbox!

Sorry DesR I only had the holiday in which to fit them but I got a set of Tein flex with EDFC (electronic damper so can adjust from inside car). They are awesome totally transformed car. On softest setting same as standard STI but more comfortable for long journeys. All cost me less than what the group by would be so had to do (inc fitting). Anyway good luck all hope you like your new handling

Erm powerstation, scoobyclinic, wrc tech, I'm taking about the standard car with standard turbo, etc (as mentioned in previous post) can you tell me a car that has these and is doing 400bhp reliably? Without turbo blowing, etc? Like I said c350 ish with standards but I'm willing for you to show me a car that has the standards and is pushing this as a daily runner

daft question..
You wont find a car @ 400 bhp totally standard, no matter how much you ring the turbo's neck... never mind it being reliable !!!
anyway... wayyyy off topic now

How long does a normal change out and alignment take? Just wondering how long I have to budget into my cross country run...

Also, the rest of the Type-25...the:

Rear Adjustable Roll Bar
Anti-Lift Kit
Front Adjustable Roll Bar

Will this go straight on a FSTi, the same as the Impreza? Has this been done before on an FSTi etc etc..... What I am getting at here, is if I am coming over, I want it ALL properly sorted... I dont want to be keep coming back

Or catch the bus to Cheltenham and come back about 5pm.

Reano,

Apologies..... but your comment states the ENGINE would not last long at 400bhp. I always thought the turbo was an anxillary item and not classed as the engine?!

Clear misunderstanding of terminology.

Anyway... back on topic.

Regards
Shaun.

Hehe no worries but I clarified myself before but anyway back on topic my Tein 'Flex' shocks are fantastic I'm assuming the AST will be just as good. At softest setting it's better than the standard ones for comfort and I go flat (hardly any body roll) round roundabouts/corners and the best bit is I can adjust the rear and fronts inside the car electronically I even have 3 presets for auto adjustment softest (daily), medium (for spirit country lane blasts) and raw/hard (for my track days when I eventually do it) can have 16 levels of settings (well more if you include the independence of the rear and front settings) yeehaw ......

Rich, can I jump on the backend of this group buy as well, or have I just missed it?

I've already got the uprated rollbars and droplinks, courtesy of PS, so I just need the ASTs fitting.

Fuzz ( not really much of a thread hi-jack! )

For AST fitting, does the strut top mount bolt straight on to the top of the spring cap of the ASTs ( Std STi top mountings or some adjustable type ) or is there some sort of spacer / load spreader / washer like there is on std suspension, between top spring cap and underside of top mount?

Ta

Ohh yeah, do PS have AST adjustable top mounts ( cost ? ) and/or STi top mounts in to suit AST sportlines?

( looks like I got me a set of 1500 mile old ASTs that need top mounts and fitting / setting up! ).
Do PS do corner weight adjustments ( will need heights setting up ) as well as 4 wheel alignment?

Cheers

Apologies for not checking the GB thread every day.

The front struts have their own cone arrangement to support the spring which is under the OE top mount and is clamped to the shaft via the top nut in the centre,

The rears (depending on model) have the AST spring designed to seat up against the underside of the original rubber spring cup of the top mount.

The three way (race) AST's have adjustable top mounts as standard.
The single way (road) AST's do not, however they can be supplied at extra cost.

PS can do corner weights and height adjustment, no problem.
