[insert day (yesterday, last night, etc)] I had a jolly-good spirited side-by-side comparison with a [insert car]. As you may know my chosen chariot is a [insert car] with [insert mods]. His/her [delete as applicable] car appeared to have[list any obvious visual mods]. This all took place when [description (i.e I pulled up to lights)]. The other driver glanced over and toyed with his moustache [‘hair’ if female] menacingly. I gave the Vin Diesel nod and mouthed ‘F.A.G.G.O.T’ before selecting [insert gear] and preparing to go for it. The lights changed/traffic cleared [delete as applicable] and we gunned it. [Describe the event through various increments of velocity adding kph or leptons with a
next to each numerical value]. At [insert speed] I/he/she [delete as applicable] shut down and it was over. After a brief exchange of hazards/thumbs/fingers/phone numbers/blows [delete as applicable] we went on our merry ways. I/he [delete as applicable] was clearly owned - LOL/LMAO/ROTFLMAO [delete as applicable].

There is something that saxo boy forgot to add in his proforma Scooby vs <other car> form. That is the anti flame statements for example.
"While visiting Germany on the autobahn which has NO speed limits or on <my/someone else's> private land with 2 miles of fairly straight road....." Then add Saxo boys response here. Anyone that comes on and starts about high speeds you can point them to this.

This thread and it's originator have got exactly what it/he deserves.
Anyone who gloats that they were 'nailed to it's bumper upto 110mph' is clinically stupid. Sure I'm sure most of us drive OTT sometimes but I think I know the limits, you clearly don't fool.

He had enough sense to back off when the speed hit treble figures
I bet a lot of people think they know their limits.

Maybe we should get Pete in here to see if he thinks we should buy knocklinks for RS4s

Get off your high horse.
One quick blip to a ton and he is criminal number 1.
What is stupid is driving with no insurance, that bugs me more than somebody giving a performance car a quick blip to a ton.

If I can add my onion bhajis worth : Spirited driving at 110 on a clear public highway for a short period of time is not dangerous. I've 'raced' a bike on an otherwise clear motorway at over 120 before and it wasn't what I'd class as risky. 155 on the german autobahn is also not unduly life-threatening under the right conditions and in certain places its even legal of course. Has this turned into "nanny net" all of a sudden?
To the original poster : Thanks for your post and sorry you got flamed for your trouble!

Maybe we need him to clarify 'nailed to the bumper', 1-2m, 3-4m etc if this is the main objection and not the 110mph.

No idea, i dont think the highway code quotes figures for 110mph
They still think it takes 4 miles to stop from 70 in the trusty Ford Anglia
