Thanks bmac800, a couple of emails have gone off to Cusco UK suppliers for the Cusco parts, so i will post what their responses are.

The Subaru parts are probably better sourced from a UK Subaru dealer to keep the cost and package size down in any event.

yes - cheers bmac800 - looks like it's best to get the bits from Subaru direct - from what i understand you only need the cusco bar if you don't want to drill the boot floor.

Tissy - post up your findings from Cusco - i'd rather not drill mine

I know what you mean mate, i'm with you on this one. I hate drilling holes in the car unnecessarily. I always like the option to take it back to stock if i have too.

I'll keep you posted.

Yes you dont need the Cusco brace or bracket that attaches it to the diffuser if you drill holes into the spare wheel well - but I wasnt keen to start drilling holes in a new car.

Tried contacting Cusco UK at the time and they werent much help - they could get the brace but it would take them three months.

Japanparts.com also sell the brace.
Im surprised there is no US vendors on SN like Rexpeed on the MLR selling parts - they could make a fortune selling items like this and carbon parts that are difficult/expensive to get in the UK.

I think the point is that it is fitted as standard to MY06 Imprezas, so as far as i am concerned it is very Subaru !

I will send a chaser during the week and see what happens.

i bought the bracket and diffuser from Subaru

decided that 2 holes in the boot under the spare wheel weren't really gonna hurt

Just reviving this for a bit of clarity..

I'm willing to drill the two holes required, but what do the other bolts (irrc the diffuser has 4 bolts..?) fix to..?
Also, is it the front of the diffuser that needs the drilled holes into wheel well or the rear, IYSWIM..?

Finally, aprox. how much is the diffuser from main stealer..?

Cheers,
J

OK, just read through the NASIOC thread and think I've got it..

Would still like to know an idea on price thought..
