Beaten by a better team on the night .... no complaints.

Newcastle couldn't win an egg'n'spoon race - so, I am proud that Boro took the North East to Europe!!

Shame, but Boro made a lot sit up and take notice!

Hey, what can I say? Outside of Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and ManYu,, precious little's been won by other Clubs in recent years. A few seasons back, we were in amongst the top 5, 2004/05 were weren't. Now we're on the way back. We'll take what we have thanks. You know who to blame for our position and it's not Roeder or the players.

FA cup semis? How about FA Cup finals, been there lately. UEFA cup final - lucky to get there, but in the end the smogs got the spanking they deserved.

As, I believe Castrol, said earlier in this thread, the smoggies have a lot of catching up to do with reagrds to trophy winning.

I just find it funny that fans of what you claim is a big club are so happy that Boro have failed to win the UEFA cup when you come from a postion of no strength at all. Your team is a joke to the rest of the country. No success, constant infighting, bringing in players who dont want to be there as well as giving jobs to known racist thugs.

The fact of the matter is, any club can get to a final, but its the winning of the trophy that counts.

Boro - 1 trophy - littlewoods cup or whatever it's called now.

Toon - 6 FA Cups for starters.

Doesn't matter if it was last week or in the 50's, the NUFC trophy cabinet is a damn site better than both the smogs and mackems put together.

My hatred of Middlesbrough FC (1986), goes back to their bankruptcy which almost cost me £26000. I was lucky, but others on Teesside were. One of my clients lost his house as The Smogs didn't pay their £7500 printing bill. I watched his Wife sob her heart out. Not nice.
The Club left debts all over Teesside and I'm not the only one who will be pleased they've lost tonight.

I feel the same about any business which goes bust and then starts up again, using the same assets, premises etc, and avoids paying its debts.
