Best one I've heard that someone actually did - kept a set of keys for their ex's house, then waited until their ex's new partner had moved in. Then one day when they were both at work, this person let themselves in, removed the curtains from the living room and - using a sewing machine they brought with them - opened up the curtains, inserted several large fresh prawns, then sewed the linings back up again. They then replaced the curtains and left the house. They were able to 'keep an eye' on proceedings through another mutual friend, and were informed over the course of the next MONTH about how they had this strange smell in their house and they couldn't get rid of it. They had spent a fortune on carpet cleaning, sofa cleaning, checking under the floorboards, you name it, but they couldn't find the source of the stink. They eventually moved house but this is the best bit - they took the curtains with them!!!

Put their name on a biz card advertising gay escorts. Plus phone number , place card in VERY public place.
Or the old dog poo in a brown paper bag gag. Place bag on doorstep, light it , ring doorbell, run to a good observation point and watch the fun.
