So I would need a Subaru number 11109AA151 sump, dip stick and baffle tray? What about the pick up? is it the same on the 20 as the 25?
I don't wont to appear dumb but I will probably look that way in a second lol. Why does the Subaru sump 11109AA151 appear to have loots of holes and slots around the outside? I can see the cloth through the sump on one pic!

Damn interesting discussion
Killerbmotrosport, one for you the later twin scroll 2ltr engines, what are the sumps like on these compared to the earlier 2ltr single scroll cars?

Tony,
That twin scroll sump with a proper baffle in it is fine on mine, as it was the Litchfield / PowerStation Time Attack winning car.

I remember someone previously mentioning on here, that the twin scroll pick-up was the same as the 2.5.... sounds a bit strange if it is. Unless it is a manufacturing fault on some?!

I have never personally heard of any of the JDM Twin Scroll pick-up pipes having this problem after speaking to Litchfield Imports here in the UK. They have probably sold more JDM Twin Scroll Impreza's than anyone else over here. Having sold over 50 Type25's, let alone their Type20's and large quantitys of the normal JDM STI's and Spec C's.

Right then guys, i've read the whole thread and the links to killerb's sump comparison (impressive work btw), and my question is this...
I understand the issue is more with getting the oil down from the heads etc, however wouldn't running a larger capacity oil pan/sump (single or twin winged) help/solve this problem...?
As the oil pump will only ever send the same amount of oil round the engine capacity wise, but if you have a larger pool of oil around the pickup due to the increase in sump capcity then this should alleviate the problem somewhat...?
Tell me if i'm talking complete nuts, but am trying to get me head around this issue, as we're facing the problem of what is the best/most economical route with our track car.
Cheers,
Kim.

Well I couldn't afford Killerbmotorsports fantastic sump and pic up so I went with his advice on the EJ25 sump, pick up, baffle plate and dip stick as it's designed to keep more oil around the pisck up.
Oh and uncanny that all my EJ25 parts came today
