do you think that a spring rate of 45n/mm front and 35n/mm would be fine on a 05 wrx for a fast road use, or a little more would be better?

When you contact Rich at PS to order/book-in the car, tell him what you want from the car.
Daily driver with a bit of 'zing' ?Track day star? or whatever.
He will certainly suggest the best rates for the job you have in mind.

There are a range of rates for all the models that are different due to car weight and 'purpose' of the car.

My Classic is a road going competition car, so running 60/50 (Fr/Rr)
As a daily driver these are quite harsh, on the track ballistic.

Simply chat to Rich and let PS's experience sort you out.

I'm stil interested in the AST setup - hassled the bodyshop over the weekend and the boss says he wants my car finished by the end of this week or someone's up for a severe b0ll0cking!

Still hoping to have her back before the cut off date. My Pug 205 Diesel is ok, but not quite in the Scooby league!

 

Think I'm in for this.

Is the ST sportline 2 kit (inverted) available for the groupbuy, paying the extra?

 

whats the deadline date on the group buy as my car won't be bk on the road till sometime next month i was going to go to a more local company and have tein flex coilovers fitted (£1190) with fitting and set up but now i'm having second thoughts about whats the right way to go......... help plz

I checked in with Rich @ Powerstation this morning as I have a similar problem (except I have the car and just cant get to them for a few weeks) Basically they want the GB to finish by the 15.03.06. This includes fitting them etc.

They will offer you 10% off the GB price (as outlined on page one of this thread) if you're not wanting them to be fitted but I dont think that particular offer is as attractive as the supply, fit and 4 wheel alignment for the £850 plus vat

Might suit you if the car is off the road for a while. You can always get them fitted at a later date?

Then fit them and experience the difference at the limit in the wet!
The vid was to show the lack of drama for the run that got me first in class!
all controlled and no understeer etc...technology and AST product/set-up made it 'easy' for a knumbskull driver like me.

Good suspension makes the car very easy to drive fast and safe.

i thought u would come along 911 and try talk sense into me i know u can't speak highly enough of the ast's i have the money waiting the car sat waiting but no tax mot or insurance on it(well obviously some insurance)and time is ticking...... maybe i could get a trailor?

There are many people who now have AST's on their car; car for road and those for track, and those with 'dual purposes'.

I came off AVO's on a car truely pushed to the limits of my nerves and (very limited) skill behing the wheel.
The AST's took me a further 2 seconds faster on a hill climb, that can be the difference between 1st and 5th in class.

Anyone who gains such an advantage who races a car will appreciate the benefit of the AST's. I changed nothing else on the car, the only thing different was the AST's.

The cheapest options will always bite back (AVO's) but you don't have to spend huge numbers to get the ultimate, it is a package of complimentary parts that count.
I have spent 3 years getting to the Optimum Chassis (for hill climb / road) and support the AST's out of experience.
A hill climb is nothing more than a clear stretch of country lane raced knowing that nobody is coming the other way! (slight over simplification...)
Bit like finding your favorite country run on an early summer sunday morning and driving it like you stole it.

The real trick is to have Powerstation fit the right spring rates for your purpose and for the owner to find the best damping settings (this takes some time but is well worth it).
The technicians at PS are good.
Curtis has done my car every time and the set-up he dials in is borne from sound experience of people telling him how the car is after his work.

This group buy will benefit from all this work.

Who else as a Company and product supplier on this bbs do all this in public?
They know they have the right product and the right people.

Every PS customer becomes a member of their Sales Team, and that says a lot about the whole set-up there.
