If the rev limit now is 8500rpm and the motor is fresh, surely you wont raise it when its run in?
I know you don't have to red line it, but 8500 is very high even for a built engine?
Fingers crossed for the Sunday.
Graham.
(ps: What a spec!)

Joe, i was reving my 2.5, with ported heads and sti5 valvetrain, to 7600 the last time i used it.
Graham, 8500 will be the end limit once its all up and running properly, it might go a tad higher, it just depends on it is responding.
I believe the Team Ice car revs to beyond 9000
As for Mark and his website, i think i will fall over when he gets it sorted.

steven, I wouldnt go beyond 8500, IIRC the loading on the conrod increases with the square of speed and the increase in force on the rod goes up by a stupid amount.. and the higher you rev ideally the lighter the rotating assembly wants to be
ALL IMHO.
