Post Alton Towers
I wish I could have had a real good dive at some of those corners, wanted to do loads of Burnsies round 'em..........got some understeer, then a sharp liftoff to let the back end scoot round a little bit, but not enough to make it interesting
, I struggled to do it on left handers as everytime I went round a damn car was coming the other way
Had a four wheel drift at one point almost in slow motion that was
Trouble with the wrexy is the enormous power top end, booting it out of a corner in a low gear is a very bad thing
which I love
Those Toyos are great!!!!!!! Give you good warning of a slip and very controllable just before they do go.......I recommend them highly, especially after the *incident*!!!!!
I sat at work today thinking how close I was to not being here!!!! I hate to imagine what that bloke is thinking.
I wish I had been able to recce some of the runs I had thought of doing, but with wrexy off the road it was near impossible, and I am a bad passenger so a pax was out!!!
After thinking the A6 was a good route, I have changed my mind, there are some good roads around it instead.........*goes off and plans some more*
The Cat and Fiddle is always a good run, wet or dry, but in the dry you can do some fair speed round there and still be legal.....
Snake Pass was okay, but too many walkers for comfort.........
Hmmmm, what next? Further afield.......oh I hear the highlands calling me
Ah well,
It was fantastic meeting you all, always great to meet fellow scooby lovers and cool to see some fellow girlies who like 'em (or put up with them
!!!)
Michelle.
(Must work harder at the left foot braking and oversteer
)

Glad to hear you all enjoyed it, I wish I had come to Alton Towers on Sunday now instead of doing yet another lap of Wales
Michelle? What have you been up to now? I only left you to drive the last few miles:
If anyone wants more of Derbyshire see the Midlands section for the Oct 7th meet
Chris
(Who didn't decide to partake until 10:30 on Saturday morning)

Any dates on Thorpe park?
Hmm - IOW... I think October needs to be a cheap month for me. 37.5k service will probably be due by then and I'm doing the Tour D'Ecosse in November. Need an oil change ASAP as well.

I don't need any help in driving slowely at the back, so no problems
Actually, first time I've been up to that area for years, so was a chance to have a look around myself.

My super expensive plastic ones are still present and correct....
Invested in them after the kids in my street decided to adorn their bikes with my metal ones
Oh and yeah Ronnie... It was a good rumble

Forgot about the little bump that occured at the roundabout
The bloke got out to have a look at the cars (his was a Honda or something similar, and one of our scoobs, James I think????) and saw the rest of us behind in the queue. Bet he had to change his undies when he got home lol

Not that far..........
450 miles to Edinburgh from Bracknell on the M'ways, less on the backroads.........
" Go that extra mile for what is worthwhile" is the saying. Not sure about an extra 449 miles though
