At latest it will turn up mid-week next.
That's cool Edd just keep me informed of your decision either way

Going back the the Formula Mesh wheels that are for the new age car only... even though I was not quite sure if I liked them I have found a couple of pics of them on the NASIOC site... thought I would share them with you as now seeing them on the car I think they look very good indeed..

They look very different fitted....

What do you think ?

Thumbs up

Ooooo that GX (if that's what it's called in the US) needs lowering.

The 'Mesh' wheel is not my cup of tea. There's too much alloy in the middle which IMHO makes the wheel look a bit small.

Slam the car on the deck and they'll look better ...

I see what your saying... yes it does have a lot of alloy in the centre, lowering does change that somewhat.

Have you got your's fitted yet... what do you think of them j ?

Simon

I work in London but live down in Sussex, so I'm not home until 20:30. No chance in the week to change wheels!

I was planning on doing it Sunday, but I might leave until next weekend in time for the local West Sussex meet. Also gives me time to get some wheel wax on the rims.

The alloys are very well finished and do look good, but seeing them in my garage last night under a 60w light bulb.... did not do them justice. To be honest they don't look that big, but will (I hope) once on the car.

You have a busy time during the week by the seems of things... you need to see them in the daylight J that should show them off to their best.
I waxed mine before fitting inside and out... all helps to stop that brake dust sticking to them.

I used the same wax as I do the car with... in my case that was swissol.
If you get a good couple of coats on them off the car it will help no end to keep them clean.

Bloody carriers !! it never ceases to amaze me all the precision planning we put in to these sort of things that the carrier quite often proves to be the weakest link fingers crossed for you.

I got 2 sockets one which I took to work and had turned down on a lathe and that lives taped on the torque wrench.. the other I use on a rachet that one fitted just right without touching it, both I've covered in electrical tape and they came from Halfords on different occasions

Had mine delivered yesterday, fitted last night.

I think they look amazing Gunmetal Black on my DBM with carbon bonnet, bootlid and spoiler.

The wheels are superb quality and so much lighter (4kg per wheel) than my old BK299 the car feels alot more responsive to drive.

Thanks Silver Scooby Sport for organising this GB and thanks to Julian.

I`ll sort some pics soon

Cheers

Thanks for the warning, might leave it until they arrive and sort something out then.

Anyone here thinking of getting the Prodrive spring kit or similar? I've got a feeling that'll be the next expense!

Only just unpacked the other 3 wheels in my set and I've got no 'lockers' either. Were we definitely entitled to locking wheel nuts?

Also.... got a white-ish mark on one of rims It may of happened in transit, but it's probably been there since the manufacturing stage or when they tyre was put on.

I've tried using a few different polishes (MER and MER Wheel Wax) but it' won't shift. It is small (8mm by 4mm) and is right on the edge of the rim, so I don't think I'll notice it when the wheel is on the car.

Today I got time to get one wheel out in the daylight.... what a difference. The gunmetal colour is stunning in the sun. From a distance the polished spoke fronts against the black of the rest of the wheel make it look like there’s hardly any alloy there at all. Nice.

J.

PS. Scoobynoob.... I've got the Prodrive spring kit. It's well worth doing in my book.
