I can tell you when I had my 18" GRA's drop on the door step they were 39kgs for the four that's wheels and tyres.... I imagine that would break down to just a touch over 9.5kgs a corner.

OEM wheels and tyres... 17" 215/45/17.
New wheels and tyres... 18" 215/40/18.

The 215/40/18 on the 18" rim will upset the speedo slightly. Speedo 60mph, actual road speed 60.4mph... not worth worrying about really.

Julian sourced me a set of Falken 215/40/18 FK-451's (I think) in the end for £73 a corner.

I know some people have issues with this tyre (and it's not as grippy as the Toyo) but I've had a couple cars with Falken’s on over the years.... and I've been happy with their performance. Of course I'll be going from the Bridgestone’s to the Falken’s, but I very rarely '****' my Scoob round corners or drive fast in the wet, so I’m hoping they’ll be OK.

Other 215/40/18 manufacturers are Yokohama and Pirelli. As you can imagine, these retail up in the £130-£140 a corner bracket.

In answer to your question about the GB time scale is that after talking with Julian today he is happy to let it run for a little while yet, I don't want to put a timescale on it but as long as there is interest I think we can keep it going for a little longer.... I thought that the initial 10 may have taken longer to get together but I'm pleased to say its only been about 10 days, so your all lucky I'm quite in work and I can spend some time on here during the day keeping up with things as long as Julian is happy I'll stick with it.
But rest assured when it does end I'll give a couple of days notice to you all, that way you will hopefully not miss out on the deal.

Edd have you had your four wheel alignment done in the past ?
I have the powerstation settings on mine... had them done when I was running 17's while the new springs were fitted plus the bumpsteer mod.
If you have had them done it should be ok I would not worry about it... if you have not I may be tempted to take a run up to PS and have them aligned it makes a world of difference to the handling and it will help with your tyre wear.

It was done during the last service a few months back. I've been taking the car to DRJ since I've had it but they seem to have gone off the boil recently.

My car needs a new drive shaft inner but I've been waiting for almost 2 months now

Kumho's are 711's not 717's as thought previously..

The 711's are a better tyre IMO than the 717's (they dont make the 717's in that size, as I queryed myself yesterday ) grr @ tyre wholesaler

When will the group buy end? I want a set of 18" GRAs to replace the original Subaru 18" wheels on my 2003 Legacy GT Spec B. I've bought some STI Brembos and as the offset on original wheels is 55, there isn't enough clearance. Just got to decide between silver or steel grey and then will have original wheels for sale.
