What is the point of human existence ? If not to destroy mother natures creations then what.

I've decided not to do a poll though

Very good - so you have chosen to ignore the fact that as many people enjoy it as you and you chums think its pointless.

So you have proved what exactly ?

1. You have too much time on your hands ?
2. You just don't listen ?
3. You'd prefer that people with a sense of humour posted in general instead ?
4. 38 out of 39000 log-ins is enough for you ?

Which, is nowhere near an endorsement one way or another.

Tell you what, you steer clear of us muppets and our forum permanently and we'll steer clear of any threads that you are in and just be our usual helpful selves on all the other forums and threads that we regularly enter and contribute to in our serious moments.

Without the Muppet forum I wouldn't be here at all and I suspect some of my fellow muppets and muppetesses would follow suit. That doesn't stop me contributing to other forums when I feel the need and when I get the chance.

When you manage a team of ****-holes, and when you get the (rare) opportunity to let off vast amounts of steam, I can think of no better place than the muppet forum to do it, usually just after slipping out of the back door (for clarity I'm talking about a fire escape, nowt to do with my team ) for a B+H.

Sadly I've spent what must be three years in this place still struggling to get to 1000 posts as I can go for weeks without the opportunity to take 5 mins out of my day and jump into the browser.

Here I am at 7.40pm on a FRIDAY fookin' night after yet another 11 hour day (and counting) with a rare opportunity to catch up on work with everyone else buggered off home, when I should be home with my wife and kids. I know, thought I, jump into the muppets and cheer yourself up. I need another B+H now.

Jeez, if only I'd gone with the earlier argument that as it's not causing the slowness problems and left it at that.

Angry

awwww how come i miss all the bust ups??

It is sad and pathetic that *some* people obviously have to be petty and post up a poll debating whether something, that a great number of people obviously enjoy, should be removed.

I don't see the SN members in General having the same level, or type, of friendships and social interaction as the muppets do..

And you certainly don't see Muppets asking that a forum to be removed - but that's because we are nice, happy, jolly people - unlike some!

Poor WRXtra.. I wonder what it's like to be a nasty ol' fart...I 'narf' feel sorry for him.

As ancient Imprezas get cheaper, the little gits that that can now afford them come on here with their Big Mac attitudes and squabble with the clever folk.

Through this I have always thought to myself that the Muppets are still playing nicely, that there is still a little corner of SN as yet untouched by those hostile little turds.

It's true that I can't actually offer any proof or factual evidence to back up this theory, mainly as I never go in there, but the thought of the Muppets' well-meaning geekyness does provide comfort as the winter nights draw in.

Money down he's a pompus sonic bule new age driver <yawn>

Your quite right though, Muppets do play nicely most of the time. We very rarely sees any flame wars or any "real" abuse, I think the last one involved hinge and bracket, which was inevitable to be honest.

The fact that neither the general or Non-scooby Related forums have ever actively organised any regular independent meetings other than offical "car" events goes to show how weak the communities are. If meeting face to face and having a good time is what outsider viewers of muppets view as "get a life you saddos" then they have ignorant perspective on that forum, and really is contridictory to the trends seen is the other forums. Where a post is an opertunity to "put down" another user rather than acknowledging or understanding their point of view and opinion. A well known geeky keyboard hero trait if you ask me.

What is the point of this thread. Muppets is fun. It is doing no one any harm, If you don't like it, don't look. As for making things slow
It needs to stay.
Stressful day - muppets - calmed down. nuff said

I wish..... Ha Ha

I have to be honest though. At least you Muppets say what you think! There seams to be alot of people voting against you who are too scared to show their face and have their say. Makes me wish I had made the poll a viewable one.

Is Muppet Show! a waste of space?

Yes. It offers no valuable help or information. It is frivolous and wastefull. It represents hours of time where people are being paid for working and are in fact doing sweet FA. It would help mankind if all people who wasted time having cyber relationships al la muppet show actually went and invested that time and effort in real relationships with people they actually know.
