Craft and the Rossendale crew

I'm picking Dreamweaver up from Barrowford before heading over to Settle. Fancy meeting up (together with any other Burnley, Blackburn, Accrington people) before heading across?

As I mentioned earlier I know a great route to Settle thats much better than the main Gisburn to Settle road.

Suggest the Thatch and Thistle pub which is just off the M65 at Barrowford? (You'll be going past it anyway)

I took Dales's suggested route back from the lakes on Monday afternoon and it was both traffic and F&M free - defo need to build this in. Did have a race all the way with a Honda CRV though - very quick for a MPV type thing.

Thatch is good, or White Bear car park Dales so I can walk round and meet you all???

Mellow - if you boys meet at McD's and then head over here we can go from here via Dales's route.

Sounds like a plan - you OK with this Craft?

DW

Want to take the MR2 now but cant afford to write it off til I get a new job

Edited to say I cant afford to write it off when I get a new job either, but need it for interviews etc - also found it a bit hairy keeping up with you AWD-ers on NM5.

DW/Dales- Thatch & Thistle sounds good to me,
is it the pub on the left at the bottom of the slip road off the M65 J13?
Steve, its not that faraway, just shoot up to otley, skipton and then onto settle, I think
BladeRunner is still going? and he's from wakefield also Blue is attending and he's from Leeds area and BOB.T is from skippy and you can all meet up at little chef just off the A59/A65 roundabout..
Going to take another gander at part of the run just to make sure keep ya posted.

be good...

Hi Guys
I'll be stuck at home until 10.00 baby sitting, so won't be able to meet you beforehand at the Little Chef, but will see you in Settle at 11.00 (only leaves me 1 hr to get there - easy )

Dales, we'll be setting off from our side about 1000, so lets say around 1010 as it should only take around 10mins to get to you lot. Am I right though in thinking the Thatch is on the left of the slip road J13 off the M65??? Shooting over this evening to check if all the route is open, so I'll post later on tonight after 2100.

Late addition here!

I'm coming up with Michelle(Wrx1994) in my current wheels (dark green Pug 206 GTI). Allegedly meeting Mellow and a few others somewhere on the M66...

If you want me, I'll be at the back with Bob!

Great day out everyone, thoroughly enjoyed it and good to meet a few new faces.

Craft (& Heather) - cheers for organising a top route, Dales thanks for the ride mate.

Highlight has to be being airbourne for about 2 seconds with Scoobysport exhaust screaming, and nearly hitting a sheep - it was either that or push Bob T off the road

See you all soon

Excelent run Craft, cheers! I didn't realise it was quite so near to home, the finish being about three miles from my house! I might have to practise it for next time!

Dales, cheers for not running me off the road!

DW got your message, I was a tad busy to reply though! I put the doors and wings on that Scoob, took it for a test drive too!!

See you all next time,

Bob

Big thanks to all who turned up, glad no-one got lost this time, we certainly got the weather yet again. I apologize to those meeting up at little chef in baxenden for shooting off to the next meeting point and not taking it easy so we did'nt get split up.
Good to see some new faces and different cars
attending, who brought that bloody bus
Any one take any piccies, if so mail them to me if able to, as I'll attempt to do a write up for true grip and we'll need some good photos to go with the article.
Blagged a ride home in the 340R as he just lives down the road from us, and to say it moves would be an understatement it's just like being in a go-kart round the twisty stuff not as loud as you might think though but loud anyway.
Look foward to seeing ya all next meet

Be good...
