So? Was a stacked scoob last year too at Coombe with no other cars involved. Would you accuse that person of not being 'sane' either?

Yes if they had it "mapped" the day before and then started showboating. Impreza, cossie or any car, its the person driving the thing not the car itself.

Nothing wrong with showboating on the track, thats what trackdays are about in reality, and Dave seems philosophical about it so wheres the problem?

I personally love Escort Cossies so it saddens me to see those pics.

I'd prefer to stick with my scoob thanks scoobynutta.

I still don't agree with your comments!

It doesn't appear to be an unsafe map that lead to the car's demise, and I doubt very much the extra power released by the map caused the driver to run out of talent, especially given how much power it likely had before hand.

In order to map the car you have to drive it very hard to reach those distant high revving load zones. Is that insane? and the guy was driving it as it should be driven in the correct place for it!

I think you should perhaps be a little more sympathetic when a fellow enthusiast damages their pride and enjoy. No one was hurt and no one else's cars were involved. Why not just be nice like everyone else gutted to see a great car damaged, rather than point the finger from your pedestal?

Who says Im not sympathetic? My point was that he's obviously not an "excellent drifter" as purported or hed still have an undamaged car.

in that case can you explain why michael schumacher has crashed on several occasions, or perhaps he is also not an excellent driver?

He has crashed for differing reasons. At the end of the day its not his personal car, hes competing against others for high stakes. Not forgetting he has a reputation for being gung ho and quite risky driving in order to pursue success. I doubt he's ever crashed his own personal car while drifting, unless of course you can show me where?

Adam you are wasting your time trying to get scoobynutta555 to agree even slightly with you. His only aim was to troll. He knows nothing about Dave's capabilities as a driver, nor possibly the fact there was oil on the track too. It's only 'his opinion' anyway, so really counts for sweet fa.

So now there was possibly oil on the track. Well I never, oil on a track, what next! Tell me are you an exmoderator, seem to remember your pathetic kissassness from somewhere.

I suppose he might have been blinded by a martian ray gun as well.

Dont really see the point in arguing in wether or not he's a good/bad driver.

If you read the post, Dave clearly says he was at fault.

Just a shame the incident happened.

We all do silly things on track from time to time. How I havent had a big off by now I have no idea. What Im sure he doesnt need is a bunch of know it alls telling him it was his fault.

Cut him some slack.

Sad to see a Cossie in a state like that Very nice cars, always had a bit of a thing for them.

Is it just me or does this "nutta" chap seem to be implying that his driving skills are better than Daves? Sour Grapes?

Of course, it could just be a "look at me, I'm the big man, I've got a 22B and not a Cossie so I'm far better than you are!" type thing.

Butt out if you have nothing constructive to say... *******. BTW just what was your point exactly with posting a pic of your car? Was everybody meant to be impressed or something as it's totally irrelevant to this post Or was it just blatant showing off, which you seem to be accusing people of.

Amazing what tripe people can come up with. Your sense of what I am "implying" needs some honing. Id say Dave is a far superior driver than me and he could have reversed around the track and beaten me, and I dont even know the "chap". Sour grapes? Over what FFS? Yeah Im really gutted that I didnt wreck my car

If i have sour grapes its that i havent wasted 17,000 posts of my life on here talking nonsense

nutta, regardless of any points you make about your car or relative driving skills, an enthusiast admitted fault and smashed up a car that most of us admire. It is not your place to cast dispraging remarks on how or what happened.

why can't you just be a kind person and show some sympathy for someone who has been unfortunate?

And why isnt it my place? Im sorry for the bloke that he crashed his car, what do you want a cossie condolence book? Its been said by an EYEwitness that he was driving like a ****. Ive never said he was driving like a ****, Ive simply stated that hes obviously not "brilliant at drifting" or he wouldnt have crashed. Fail to see how that turns into sour grapes or big man comments.

AFPMSL - Fact 1. I rarely watch TV and when I do it's motorsport or football. Fact 2. I never look in Muppets, let alone post in it. Do stop being a halfwit, you're making yourself look really stupid now. Tsk tsk.

Its been said by an EYEwitness that he was driving like a ****
And that's only in his opinion too. One eyewitness doesn't make it that he was. I have seen Dave loads of times on track and have been out on track at same time as him too, he does not drive like a **** and if he did - he would be black-flagged. Simple as that.
