I have a pair of these (keep one as a spare) & they are essential if you want to know what is going on with the convoy.Unexpected stops for fuel or wees , any last minute changes in route, lets the cars up front know you are stuck at the lights/roundabout etc etc. Makes for a more managable convoy all round.

Getting a nice list together there. You boys 'r' enterin' my neck of the woods. In fact the roads that lead from junction 12 of the M4, all the way to, and passed the entrance to Beale Park are part of my weekend "special stage" route.
If ya want Scooby-oriented pace notes, here they are:

Peel off the motorway at Junction 12 up the sliproad and line up at the lights in either of the two lefthand lanes (dragging opportunities here if you find yourself along side a chav ). Accelerate briskly, forking left downhill into the next roadabout.

This is a mega roundabout for safe drifting. You're going straight over. Enter in 3rd and bury the accelerator as you approach the apex. You'll shoot out the other side like a dose of salts. I did this to a Lambo Gallardo once. He'd just overtaken me on the run in, and had a bit of a shock when he looked in the rear view mirror and found me stuck to his rear bumper.

Stay on the dual carriageway for 3/4 mile to the next roundabout. You're turning right here, but although the roundabout is wide, don't fool around on this one. The A4 is a busy road and someone once pulled out in front of me when I was sliding the car round it. I had to brake hard and was lucky to keep control.

You're then on a very long straight road. It's a 50 limit, but 70 is okay. Usually it's quite busy so be ready to overtake, but watchout for cars coming out of side turnings. It's a dangerous road. Accidents are common.

After 2 or 3 miles you'll find yourselves coming back over the motorway and down the other side of the bridge into a fast left, then immediate right hander. Really nice corners. Maximum speed through here is probably 60, but I stsick with 50. You can safely overtake on the run in towards the corner if it's clear when you get over the brow of the motorway bridge.

After the corners you'll then enter Tidmarsh village, which you go straight through. It used to be a 40mph limit and that's what I stick to, but it's now a 30. Be ready for the Gatso in the middle of the village (there's one in each direction so don't forget on your way home).

Coming out of the village, you're on another straight road with overtaking opportunities. It's supposed to be a 50 limit, but I ignore that. After half a mile you'll be entering Pangbourne and another 30 limit. Follow the road to the mini roundabout and go straight over, noticing the bentley and aston martin garage on your left, which used to be a very well known Scooby garage.

Proceed under the railway bridge and follow the road out of Pangbourne. You'll find yourself running along side the river. The police may well have set up mobile speed traps here and there is a Gatso for the return journey so be warned. It's a 30 limit now, not the 40 I usually stick to.

Entering the trees at the end of Pangbourne, you'll be into the 60 limit. Again, stick to the limit here because the cops are bound to have cameras out here. In a mile, just before the lights for the railway bridge you'll find the right hand turn into Beale Park. See you there!
