Try hometyre, they are a mobile service that use this locking wheel nut remover tool. They may have a franchise in your area. Do a google search on the hometyre name.

I've just bought an 03 Blobeye, which had the locking wheel nut key missing! One call to my local Subaru dealer and they posted me a new one the next day Subaru Uk are about the only company that keep a record of the correct nut keys for your car.

Ticky,
You must be really fed up with getting messages like this by now. I got a puncture on 31st December and still can't get the bloody things off! Some wrench-monkey at Kwik Fit used an airgun the last time, mangling the key. SO far, I've had the RAC out with no luck. Do you have the secret to getting rid of these Mc****e things?

D.

Can someone pm me with a method to remove a Standard Subarue locking wheel nut.
It's off of a 2001 Imrezza WRX with original wheels.
A 19mm socket goes over but an 18mm socket doesn't.

Thanks Marshall, I need an 18.5mm socket or a 23/32 socket to hammer on,
and they are quite rare beasts.

there a tool they use at tyre centers its threaded wrong way so as u undo it screws on to nut apparently, or so that what they did on mine, messed the nut up but did the job.or f all options gone drill it out, start with 6mm and work up till heads off. messy situation i tried to get the socket for mine but was stupid price!. more than the actual set of bolts. and thats from manufacturer of said bolts.

You need to first crack the collar off with a chisel (can be a slow process), then hammer a socket on that's slightly too small to go over, usually an 18mm. The last time I had to do a set took about an hour and a half and I had to sharpen my chisel several times. Some were easy and some were complete unfortunately patience and persistence it the key.

Got the tool.
It worked well, didn't realise that the original locking wheel bolts had a sleeve!
Got the tyre checked out for punctures at my local tyre place, and they found it was loosing air on the inside wall where a balance weight had been put. Same garage last year couldn't find a leak!
Hopefully my tyre thats been loosing pressure ever since I bought the car will now hold air for good.
Thanks all for your help.
