Removed my k+n filter cleaned with proper k+n cleaning spray, hosed down then re-oiled with lee's k+n red oil ,started her up and wasn't idling properly (no air getting through filter) took for a little run excellent now should of done it ages ago cheers daz (even though he's not on scoobynet).

 

the oil from the filter will coat your maf with **** and **** it up lee

 

Really to late now all oiled up ,
stew just removed my exhaust/turbo heatshield found there was a little crack at the back so what iv'd done is cut the heat shield in half so as to still protect the brake fluid resevoir from heat was going to completely remove but could feel the heat on the resevoir(don't want to boil my brake fluid),no rattle well chuffed.
The bracket thats bolted onto the exhaust manifold had also snapped so need a new bracket and complete heatshield ,total bugger to get out had to remove intercooler and bend the heatshield to get it out . tried phoning you stew noticed on thursday that your heatshield was removed will this cause a problem with heat near associated equipment?

lee-my heatshield isnt removed but john had to cut some of it out because the downpipe is now twice as wide. its not just a stock gutted downpipe but its had the neck oped up so its as wide as the turbo outlet. ill show you next time. dont worry about thek&n oil as long as you didnt drown it m8. been ringing scooby clinic all day but cant get through. want to ask em about my dv.

acko - yeh i no i should have but end of the day i did get the spoiler he did deliver so ,, i just put wot he had done ..+ theres rather a few more people is pissing off now lol ... on that note i got time today to well nearly finish your spoiler wooo its all ready to go into the booth and be painted so hopefully acko we can fit it well before thursday s meet ..

ive been fiddling with the bov today. i rang the clinic and it should be closed when the cars ticking over. its not so the cars geting extra air that the maf aint senserd. i said about fiting a stifer spring but he thinks its just the piston sticking. ill have another clean then....

might ring you in a bit to pop round borrow your bov?

ive just had a paypal refund from my bailey that ive been having problems with.

as its "fooked" the guy dont want it back "throw it in the bin m8" but ive just read on ebay about another bailey "trumpet" d/v that the bailey one i have is a single piston one. apparently i need a twin piston one as i have a maf on my car. this one came from a uno and only needed a single piston d/v. so ive got a perfectly working d.v but not for my car for free? lol

ive just got one for £80 pre maped for 16psi and 97 fuel it will be fine just to run as is but i will get it mapped asap to suit my car.

 

no probs john i might put them on ebay or may even keep them as spares .
