Your argument is a rather weak straw man - the protest was a call for an independent review into road safety, because the current methods are failing to reduce road fatalities. An entirely honourable and noble cause I believe

Do you have any evidence to back that up? For example, I have no points on my licence and am a law-abiding citizen. I don't support the current road safety campaign. Unless you have other info - this must be the well known fallacy of appeal to popularity - four logical fallacies, three in a single post! That's impressive by any margin.
