I sent my cheque mid April and it only got cashed the other day-the day I sent off a second one fearing my first one had got lost in the system!

Dave (i think), you still got the sierra 4x4? Had a few good runs against you, until i got into 3rd . Are you running this time, if so, with what.

 

its bryan but not to worry.the sierra went last year mate.i had got to the limit of the stock/turbo technics ecu at 9psi and 260bhp and couldn't really justify the next £1000-£2000 upgrade,which would have been different injectors and after market management.the pistons would also have needed uprating to forged items over about 280bhp so it had to go.i had £6000 in it and got £2300 for it.best time it ever ran was 13.49 @102.
the set off was the best bit.bounce off rev limiter and dump clutch.never broke any transmission parts doing that for three years.relative lack of power meant that most cars with about 300+ hp would over hall it after the 1/8
i have now got a bmw 540i auto with nitrous.best time to date is 14.2@108 on 30hp of nitrous.now running 75hp so somewhere around 380brake in total.hoping to get mid to high 13's at 110+.shortly to have 150hp of nitrous and a progressive controller so should do high 12's-low13's. job lot including the nitrous only stands me at £2000 so i cant really complain so far.see you there!

are we allowed to enter on the day? if so how much?

 

yes you are, cost will be £10quid on gate to get in, then £35 to race making it £45 in total. This is a 1/4m and top speed event. driving license and helmet required, and a taxed and tested road car.
plenty of room for rwyb entries, signing on from 8-8.30 approx.

i was just wondering as my son has a Mini, and all the Minis from the midlands are going to Santa Pod on the same day.. if we could instead get them to come to the Shootout?

another 20 cars have signed up this week so we are now at around 65-70 cars in total pre paid, plus the rwyb entrants that come on the day, so looking good for quality racing.
gates open 9am for spectators. rwyb people wanting to pay on the day should try and get there for 8.30-9am if poss to sign on.

should also add that because we opened it up to rwyb in addition to the pre paid entrants, you may be allocated a different competitor number on the day itself at sign on, dont worry about this tho it will all be sorted on the computer and stickers given out for your rear number plate to suit.
