Just out of interest Dyney, you mentioned the H&S system having two differnt back boxes (quiet and less quiet) is there anyway of telling which one you've got???

The boxes are the same, just one has less "packing" in

so how is the winner determined as its looking like there is only a couple of choice's for the drag strip fancy a go in this myself since ive got a gearbox i dont have to worry about

 

there are trophies for fastest times of the day on the strip and top speed, and the top 8 cars on the 1/4m at 3.30pm qualify for the shootout at 4pm. The shootout is first across the line wins, not necessarily the best time, so its a test of nerve and (unusually for the strip!) skill. one car is eliminated each time until we end on the final, again first past the post wins the trophy as "Scoobyshootout champion."

we should also have some prizes for the fastest cars etc, to be confirmed, awaiting some info from potential sponsors also.

i came 8th last year, was well chuffed. george smith beat me (read blew me doors off) in the 1st round of the shootoff

 

Confirmed today that the shootout will be the front page and main feature spread in the new "J Tuner" magazine from Future Publishing, (which comes out first issue in may) and also in Redline magazine. Additionally Scoobymag are also covering the event and will have something in the next issue as a preview!

Hi Everybody, Any one also going to Japfest on the previous day!

I have just put in my application for TOTB scooby shoot out.

I am looking forward to my first ever shoot out, and my nerves are already on edge, not that I stand any chance of winning in a standard Type R (OK, OK, it has a decat down pipe) especially when Andy F will be there, but the last thing I want to do is make a twonk of my self with WRX.CO.UK plastered down the side, and stall it on the start line!

OOPS forgot the link ECU! still standard than most though!

Forgot to mention - CHRIS TOTB, how about a prize for the fastest newbie to TOTB? - and no it won't be me!

I like the TOTB web site, but it does give much info on the trails during the day, is it a sprint, top speed and handling, is this right?
