Well..... Fleets Lane about 5.30pm. She was in the left lane to go straight on, I was in the filter for B&Q. At last minute she swerved in front of me and went into B&Q. I only just missed her and had to break hard.

She park diagnally across two bays as didnt leave time to straighten up. I parked a few bays down and got out my car to advise her of my dissatisfaction with her driving teqnique. She just sat in the car and then from a car in front of hers a bloke arrived and started giving it some... she then found her strength and also got out of her car calling me naughty names etc and egging me on for a fight. I thought hang on, big bloke, little me. I replied with a few choice words and stomped into B&Q for a new looroll holder.

Came out 15 mins later to find my baby battered. Got scenes of crime coming over tomorrow etc ... hope they can pull the registration number off his **** heap cavalier!

Karen, now that i've seen the pics, I reckon it's something like a trolley or something hard, I don't think a foot would have done that, maybe they had a crow bar in their car!
Sad news indeed, just when the wheels were going to brighten it up to!!
It wasn't a white cavalier was it?? there's a youngster sort of based in our village with a mk3 chavelier who's complete ***!! young skinny lad, thinks he god's gift to women! who'll use any excuse to hit someone, or something!!

Yes, it was a white cavalier but he looked about 30ish I guess. She was about the same age too - they must have been rendezvousing in the carpark as he was already there when we arrived. It could have been the heel of her high heels as they are quite puncturemarkish but now you menton is, as all the paint is also gone, it could well have been a wheel brace or something. Will have to wait and see what the police say tomorrow.

So, who shall I call for a repair job then? Recommendations please

Sorry to hear your news Karen.
I know a good sprayer/panel beater,he done an excellent job on my car when a Wilts and Dorset bus argued with my car and (thankfully for the driver)my wife.
The company is called Elite Panelcraft, based in Wilton.01722741162.If you mention my name hopefully he will remember me and sort you out with a good quote.(His name is Alan).

Karen, slightly nearer home, the people that did my boot lid, and also the bonnet in january are woodville stretton, 47 sterte road, 01202 672839, they did such a good job on the bonnet, I went back for the boot!!
Repair and paint bootlid and little spoiler cost me about £200, but it looks like you'll need a new door or two, and then all the labour that goes along with that!!

Can't remember the guys name, it might have been Jamie??

Cheers Ron, I will call them tomorrow also. Might be worth getting two quotes... one for the damage and one for a full respray. If you remember, the little boy reared my car so the boot could be sorted via the insurance at the same time. I didn't bother initially as it wasn't worth it but now is a good time

Woodville's first words were "two new skins I'd say". Sounded expensive right away! I have also asked Extreme Body Works in Winton for a quote as they did my old escort a couple of years back and were a quarter of the price of a big garage.

Will let you all have an update on Monday evening.

I spoke to L&V today to find out where they wanted me to go and they never mentioned that one Ron... anyway, if it is on their 'books' they will have the quote in a few days and will tell me who to go to I shall be submitting around 4 quotes of my own and they are arranging one with Darracott Accident at sharpe road.

Mmm, when my car was first whacked, the rear quarter and drivers door were done at Darracott, that was the one I chose at the time, as having the best workshop, there wasn't too much crammed in, and the job was good, at the end of the day, your car need fixing, although I would have thought that new doors would be preferable to just skins!!
