Hello my friend in the fabulous red wrx.
Long time no see...

Ok i can sort out all the locations for us no problems and you can count me in for sure.

As for location of meeting point we could consider Halfords to start and do what we did last time but in reverse.
Then we could hold plenty of cars that turn up.

I run http://www.cruiseblackpool.co.uk/forum and 3 weeks ago we had 500+ cars turn up to our Promo DVD shoot with Max Power girls down etc etc...

Plenty of room im sure you will agree and if we start off at Halfords and work in reverse down the prom we will have less chance of getting the convoy broken up on the way round as its not far from star gate.

As for the charity side we have a member on our site that deals with this kind of thing and she could go round collecting on behalf of a specified charity.
She understands things with the less unfortunate as she herself suffers from a condition.

At the same time we can get a mention on the local radio if we wanted.

Also, (what more? ) i can get in touch with our local newspaper who will 100% come down and take some photographs of some cars and feature it in our local paper.
They featured our event i mentioned above last time with 2 days coverage in the papers and are only too happy to do the same again.

What we could do for example is say meet up at Halfords car park and get the local Gazette paper to get some photos and talk with the owners etc before finally setting off for our convoy on the prom.
It just adds a little more to the meet and should be good fun for all.

Here is a photo from a few weeks ago and you may notice one or our members or two from here namely Ex_Pug.



What we need to discuss is dates and have ideas about them as some days/nights will be better because of tourists and possible other factors that could interfere with our meet.

2004 Illuminations: 3 September-7 November 2004

With more things happening/coverage for the event, it will gain more interest with people wanting to travel out-of-town as i understand some people may have to travel far and the more we can offer the more people will be willing to attend.

We had a good turnout last time and this is good feedback so lets improve on this and take it to the next step.
When we get firm dates and location agreed i will multimap it for all and report back here with more information regarding the press and things.

Anyhow let me know and if we get enough interest here then we can discuss things more and get something together for the near future.

I can see the tower and the Big One from Southport beach but I've never actually been to Blackpool - should be fun.
