So, who's going to be filming the event with a dv camera?
Who do I have to meet with at the end of the day? Rather than us all filming the same stuff, I suggest that we all take a different angle to the day: one filming the human element, in car, at the start and stop points. One filming outside the car, stopping to take the passersby. I'll do the incar stuff, with the screen mount camera. Anyone else got ideas?
At the end of the day, I'll take your dv film, get your addresses, and then spend the next week making a dvd of the day.
This I will then post in reduced form on the net for download, and then sell the full blown version to cover my costs.
Is that ok?

Looks like i am going to have to cry off from this

 

The only thing I'm not looking forward too is the re-spray the front end is gonna need after all the chips

I've managed to kill a clutch on each of the last 2 tours so this time we will see if the paddle clutch can hack the abuse

We were thinking of coming along to this, but having just moved house I don't think we can justify the 300 mile round trip from Bristol!!

I don't want to be an ****- BUT: might be worthwhile taking it easy once up there if you are just getting used to the car..
Can get pretty lairy up there some of the roads are quite challenging,

although happily the pace is what you want it to be

yeah mate was gonna put if i can keep up lol, gonna be driving like and old lady for a couple of weeks at least till i get used to it. Going from 130bhp astra to 220bhp 4x4 scooby is a tad on the large jump side pmsl.

 

Yep p£$sed off...........had my cambelt service done only to find out clutch is slipping and had to buy 2 new tyres.

Boys @ the clinic did an excellent job as always and Adam kept us entertained with them phone clips

Would appreciate a copy of any footage though to see what I missed out on

My mate Jay owns the camera, I have aranged to pick it up sunday morning. Hes charging it now. I am going to jam it into the passanger seat (the hole / headrest) as this is what gutmannpug does with his ring videos.

The scooby is fully fueled and ready. A week of painting and plastering...can't wait to get back in the car!

 

Nope, uprated ones with better bite, supposed to be good for 400 horses. lol although I will put my hands up and say that I abused them both from the day they were fitted.

ubik no m8, dont do that! the filming will be crap and bouncy, believe me. Do some handheld stuff instead, concentrate on the meeting stops, and film people inside there cars at junctions, I'll do the incar/dashboard shots, scooby66 is doing the driveby stuff, together we'll have a cracking vid

Just had a bit of bad news - car is in for service and new clutch and a couple of other bits 'n bobs, but is not going to be ready until AFTER the weekend, so I'm going to have to pike out for "technical reasons". Was really looking forward to this as don't know that many Scoob owners (and needed some advice as to where to get an MOT near Shrewsbury...).

Anyway (sob, sob) hope you guys have a good one - will check out the photos which I hope someone will post!
