Whats the best MPG you have ever had?
I drove the Bosses 2.0 mondeo on a trip - 570 miles for 58 litres, awesome!
Best in Scooby ~ 28 mpg for 80-85 on motorway and also for an experimental 'egg-shell twixt loud pedal and boot' session. It seemed to last an eternity - I was very glad to get to the end of that tankful and get back to proper Scooby driving ~ 20 - 21 mpg.

I think I must have a hole in my petrol tank! Too many of you people are hitting the mid-20s. My 50 mile round trip to and from glamourous Witham in Essex sees me in the high teens at best.
Lord knows I've tried driving down the A12 at 75mph, but it's sooooo frustrating! I have to say, though, that sitting at that speed, just off boost, does seem to make that petrol last longer. When people ask me, "What's it do, mister?" I tell 'em about 18 to the gallon!

I dont do miles per Gallon, Smiles may be.
My WRX has a problem as well, I can only keep it off boost whlist its cold, stationary and the cooling off idle, rest of the time it's BOOST BOOST BOOST BOOST, it just wont behave itself or listen to me, no matter how much I tell it!!
I would call it Herbie cos it wont behave, but thats a Beetle and they are Crap IMHO, Fire Suit is now on!!!

Best I ever managed was 33.5 MPG on my monthly run up to Edinburgh and back... but traffic was flowing rather slowly so that might account for it :-)
Worst I have done was 6MPG, but it was good fun while it lasted! :-)
Cheers,
Pat.

I get 40MPG on the road taking it sort of easy (still flying) and 6MPG on track, but thats in my "other" car.
The worst i see is on the Esprit 5Litre race car, we get 4MPG with that.
My Sport gets about 240 miles to a 50Litre tank so about 22MPG, just as crap as a turbo then.
