26 years old, with my girlfriend (who has only 3 years driving experience) car garaged full NCB for a top price of £720.

Very strange to, as i have just sold an 01 WRX and the insurance for that last year was 920?!?

elephant came out at £1,469 although that may be because of the extra's I have put on the car. I will call them to check it out.

OCD,
yeah it may be the mods mate. Mine is standard performance-wise and one thing i did neglect to state is it is only insured for 6000 miles. Not too sure if this makes a difference but it may do. Mine is only used as a toy for the odd sunny weekend.

What part of East Sussex ?

Good Luck

No, not far at all. In fact one of my favorite Sunday Hacks is down A27 to Eastbourne, up over through Beachy Head, Seaford, Newhaven to Brighton and up M23.

Burling Gap by Beachy Head is supposed to have some really tasty roads. Gotta try that. Up to beachy from Eastbourne seafront is a good climb with some wicked hairpins. Down the other side has some ace bends where you can get the car to drift nicely.

My suggestion would be get the car and run it in (pain)then get the PPP fitted, its nice to experience the difference between standard and PPP.
Watch that warranty if you change too much ........
Enjoy, I just love mine.

I just reworked the elephant quote and it came out at £980, so agree they offer a good price.

There were so many click through options that I made a couple of mistakes, and having re input as an STI with the options, including PPP etc. it brought the premium down, but still not as far as the quote I got off the main Subaru site.

Anyone able to answer my earlier thread about overseas trips?

Try Tesco Direct. I'm in East Sussex and have a similar spec Sti to you (PPP and 18" wheels). I found Tesco were over £200 cheaper than Elephant and a lot easier/more professional to deal with. In fact what Elephant originally quoted for turned out to be completely wrong when they supplied the paperwork - wrong model, 5 door rather than 4 - so be careful and check the details thoroughly.

Thanks Dave. I will give Tesco a go.

Do you live in Battle? I am in Broad Oak Brede- about 7 miles from you....

I am sure I read somewhere on this forum that someone bought a new sti and the 18" wheels option and part-exd the unused 17s back to the dealer!
Worth a try.
I paid £740 with Elephant, clean and full nc.
Funny how we all get a slightly different quote.
