It is a sad fact that there are people in our society with no respect for the property of others. This said, if we give in to this kind of behavoir and limit ourselves to possessions that we feel nobody would want to steal/damage, what a sad day that would be.

Scooby New- thanks for the contact numbers, I`ll be looking at some cars this w-end. The 2 WRX wagons just in from Japan should also be ready for viewing too. (both less than 50k on the clock, full service, full mot and 6mnths tax. 1 red, 1 white so if anyone else is interested in one, let me know. Both L-reg I think.)
Pum- I`ve wrote that reg down and I`ll keep my eyes peeled. Popped to the meet last night but was a bit late (8.45ish) and the last Scoob passed me the other way as I drove in. Should be at the next one all being well.
cheer's stiff!
yeh you must of just missed us we meet at hessle forshore then go to the ketch? on the way to wilerby.

[/QUOTE]
Unfortunatly i was quite far behind. it was nice to see you kick his ***, don't think he was too happy
. i'm suprised the copper didn't pull him!! Did you see him again???
Pum, no matter what car you have the little ba*****s will try to nick it or something off it. If only the coppers spent more time trying to stop car crime than making money from honest drivers, Hey Carl.

Cheers Pum. Just rang the guy from Ship with the 320bhp Scoob and left a message. Don`t know much more about it but will find out more when he rings back. Sounds interesting though. Is Scooby New back yet, and where`s everyone going tomorrow? May give the old barge a run out!

I came home this aft to find some **** had tried to key my car (not down to metal, it'll probably polish out but my point is): I love my scoob, as you do yours.
I fully expected a bit of hassle with mine (attempted spoiler nicking, car scratching, finding it gobbed on etc), but the fact that you have all the security you have on it now will prevent the vast majority of damage (jealosy or otherwise) and that if you figure out how much you have had to pay over the time you have had/will have your car for this kind of damage, it will work out neglible and, most importantly, you will have enjoyed your car.
I believe that the tw@ts that tried lifting your spoiler before may well be the same tw@ts that tried the other night, but this time they won't have been expecting your scoob to go off on one and I reckon they'll leave it alone from now on and look for someone else who doesn't have as good an alarm system.
It's a bad state of affairs when I can't go to bed without making sure I've locked all doors and windows, the scoob is right outside my house, the bedroom window is open and the keys for it are next to me and my replica highlander samurai sword, but it makes me happy driving the car I do. I'm happy knowing you lot are there, equally happy driving your prides and joy and I look forward to meeting up with you all for nerdy nights (Karl's missus) and just kicking tyres and having a good fekin chinwag about things we all love!
I reckon, if you feel anything like I do, you would miss not having your scoob more than you'd miss your ears...'coz then you wouldn't be able to appreciate that burble....would ya?
the ninja exhaust should be at mine 2moro, so if it dont rain will get it on afther tea 2moro

as for the magnex that i will be taking off! offer's by pm please

Mornin all
Any news from Phil???
Pumster - I know how you feel, every time someone's car gets damaged/stolen/car-jacked etc I think about getting rid, just in case summat happens to mine. But then I think about how much I enjoy owning it, and like Bryn says - it's more than just a car, it's a way of life almost!!! I was hesitant about putting 18's on in case they went missing, and then worried about the STi6 spoiler going walkies. But I just have to look at the car, or overhear someone complimenting it as they walk past, and I know I've done the right thing!!!
Let's set up ScoobWatch - we can each have a webcam broadcasting live video of our cars overnight, viewable from a website. Then we take it in turns to log on and watch for any thieving-scum activity. If anything happens, straight on the blower to the owner, and we all drive round to politely ask the offenders what they think they are up to (
)
I spent some time yesterday setting up and testing my own tracking solution in my car. Much better than Tracker cos it also acts as a data recorder so I can replay my journeys and stuff. I can also control external devices from it so I could rig it up to my immobiliser. If the car goes walkies, I ring it, find out where it is, and immobilise it from the comfort of my own home!
So who went where yesterday then? Elvington or Well Lane?
And what's on the calendar for the next few weeks????
Steve
