benview uk tax is far higher than european tax, therefore european **** can not be sold in the uk. Its legal to bring them in for personal consuption from the eu I beleive you are allowed 16 cartons, but you may not sell them.

Outside eu you are allowed 4 cartons or 800 **** for personal consumption iirc

Selling any imported **** in the uk is illegal and theyll have you for dodging tax on them, theyre really ****ty about it, thats y they have uk duty paid stamped on all *** boxes.

He said they were spanish ones, u cant sell them on ebay either i had an auction removed a while back lol

obviously i didnt sell them as that would be naughty lol

We try to be as even handed as possible. If I see tickets FS, I either enquire or research the FACE VALUE. If they are offered up in excess of the face value (or cost) then the thread is usually locked or deleted. For those with "offers" then I usually point out or ask for the face value.

I do appreciate that sometimes people can't make venues due to committments & under those circumstances, although possibly pre-cluded by the T&C of the agent selling the ticket originally, let it slide IF & ONLY IF they are offered FS for less than Face Value & that doesn't include originally paid Credit Card surcharge & P&P.

If anyone thinks that a particular mod has not actioned a ticket sale in the correct manner, hit the RTM & report it to all mods. The above are the conditions that I work to regarding ticket sales & I always read/check my RTMs. I will moderate all in this forum (except possibly Webbie whose thread this is in the wrong place but only this once...)

how come u are not allowed to point out to somebody that you feel there car is too expensive.

But it is fine to post "if I had the money I would rip your arm off... and.. too cheap mate, worth 32k more at least....

Only for the car to still be for sale a week later.

one rule for one??

When given this question, I always ask back..

"What if it was you trying to sell your car & some bright spark posted all over your thread questioning its value, how much you were asking etc?"

I for one would be major hacked off & I expect would the majority of people here. If nothing else, it starts of unnecessary flame wars, which serves nobody.

If the car/whatever is still FS the following week, then its prehaps up to the vendor to re-access the situation & possibly revise their asking figure. They are the ones trying to sell it and only someone who thinks that the price is worthwhile will buy it.

Guidelines as in the FS sticky

All posts and threads within the "FOR SALE" forum must only contain information pertaining to the advertising of goods, or the request for information about such goods. Replies to adverts complaining / questioning the price or quality of the goods are harmful and often misleading and are therefore not allowed. For this reason, "buyer beware" is also an important consideration.

At the end of the day, its courteousness and being polite.

Thanks Puff

I just think that sometimes there does appear to be no consistency with the moderation of the sales forum in particular

Now wether this is due to only certain threads being RTM'd or not I dont know, and I personally think that if someone wants to sell something, beit there own, or someone else (brothers, sisters, mothers, friends etc) then I think it should be left alone

I noticed one particular thread being 'picked on' where someone was selling a car for their brother, yet Ive seen quite a number of other threads appearing after that one stating 'for sale on behalf of', or 'there not mine, there my mates'

The only ones I think that should be stopped are trade ones, unless a trader is a paid up member for the advertising revenue

Maybe a traders for sale section (again for those with paid up advertising subs) would be a good idea, strictly for traders to sell surplus stock, etc etc

I never look in the Scoobyshop, due to being far too many links, and no real/full details or pictures, and especially no clicky link to the products being advertised or sellers website

with regards to pointing out prices/value of goods being offered, If I believe something I am interested in is grossly overpriced, then I have in the past emailed the seller offline, and made my comments there

one last thing, I think you mentioned it, but shouldnt this now be in the Policy Forum

edited to add, as its now wandered off topic slightly

Regards

Steve

My sympathy goes out to Simon and other Mod's of scoobynet.

This was bound to happen. A service for selling is one of the most attractive things about a high traffic BBS - *everyone* gains (or should).

Unfortunately - its the bad apple that spoils it for the rest - and potentially *everyone* loses.

It worries me that with 28000 members this BBS has to face these problems more and more often - ultimately its these 'bad apples' that could close it.
