Any of you lot know the owner of a green Fiat Punto that flashed and waved at me yesterday on my way up to Beachy Head? Didn't clock the driver but he seemed very scooby-friendly .

May, and its a big may, make some part of the meet tomorrow.

Thanks to everyone who turned up - eight Subarus plus an MX5 (nice, Steve) and Mark's Kerrie in a Nova. Thanks to the travellers from afar - Maffa and STIMark - nice to see ya. And Steve, and James. The rest of ya is locals, yeh?

Thanks also for all the technical talk - a way forward at last!!!!! Mods a-plenty! Yippee!

I definately think that Supercharger is working, as I drove from Whistable to Brighton across country in the small hours of this morning and the thing was flying (for an MX5) Probably cruising speed for a scooby

Nice to see everyone. I am also thinking of taking up hairdressing so I can fully justify MX5 ownership. Anyone know of any good courses localy? Do you think I ought to get a perm? mullet perhaps?

Best wishes
Steve

LMAO @ Steve...I was only kidding m8, whilst I'm not normally a fan of the open top jobbies, that is one sweet car...and I can understand the attraction (only snag is, so could Caz and we've now got an open top 2 seater on the shopping list, so bang go my mods !).

Apologies for rushing off so soon, we must ensure the next one is a longer / fuller meet.

SteveW - had a quick look on a MX5 site & saw exactly ur device ! & it looked disconnected too ! so I think it must be connected/driven some other way - like from underneath ?

definatly worth investigating - but good that it appears to be thundering along !

Yes.
I think you must be right. A bit weird that wheel on the top not doing anything though. I primarily bought it as a bit of summer car to potter about it and also for my girlfriend as she wants a little snazzy girly car to use for her wedding business. So I didn't realy take much notice of the mods when I bought it.

I seem to have inadvertantly bought us a bit of a little beast. As some mad jap has spent an absoulute fortune on it. Intercooler, chip, eibachs, respray, supercharger, full exhaust and all sorts of other stuff which I am unsure of what it is. All I know is that it turning into a great Q car. It outpaced one of those Fiat turbos the other day on a b road!!! as I expected the Fiat to pull away quite comfortably.

Anyway thanks for taking a look and confirming my suspicions.
Best wishes

It looks like it has a Jackson Racing Supercharger & this one looks connected :

More Here : http://andrewphilpott.tripod.com/home/id9.html
http://www.moss-shop.co.uk/asps/extra4.asp

And a Jackson Racing Supercharger Belt http://www.perfrmplus.com/miata/asp/...rchFor=&PT_ID=

christ knows where you fit the other end tho'...yeh O.K so it connected to the Crank Pulley, but I've no idea how the belt will route or if there should be a spare pulley on the end of the crank.

Jackson Racing page http://www.jacksonracing.com/pages/sprchrgrmia.html
this kit is for the Miata, which is the MX-5/Eunos in the USA.

An Finally, a Sebring Supercharger. Agains looks connected...

Have Fun
