Bruce Spence has already done a 11.01sec 1/4 mile, and he's doing more mods with less weight, so I've heard. There's also a number of cars that will be mid 11's too, including another similar tuned car by the same company.
As I said, with improvements like the new PAR box, they should be quicker and handling more power now. I know 1/4 miles are not everything, and things brake, but the really quick 4wd rally reps show up in this area. As long as we can all watch then its all good fun.

As to modding "cheap" cars, so what? If you've modded your car in any way then the same can be said for you - why did you do it, why not spend the money on a better car?

Anyway i never said there was anything wrong with a modded motor, jus dont know why people who buy a car real cheap spend almost the value of the car modding it, and then try passing it on for something it isnt.
And remember i said a scoob is a good alrounder for the type of car it is, and what its up against, and im pretty sure a 330d isnt what its up against.

i'd say the owner is trying to pass it off as a scoob with bigger wheels, wouldnt say he is trying to pass it off for a different make car which is worth more money.
I dont know many scoob owners who do these basic mods and then go round saying their cars better then a m3. So you shouldnt be comparing a sunny to a scoob.
Most people who buy cars have in their mind what they want. people who buy a 330d dont even bother looking at scoobs because their obvously looking for something thats a lil cheaper to run, and dont mind that its slower. a 330 petrol is car similar in size and performance to a scoob, and you see alot of them on the road.
Second hand s4 and a newish scoob has the same performance, size and price has it not.

oh my god, first it was sunnys are better than scoobs, now its a 1.6 can keep up with a 2.0 turbo, one word... BOLLOX..... :-)

a p1 will go from zero to nearly 160mph, some reckon more. what about a RST???
a wrx is quicker than a FRS to 100mph according to top gear. So i think in an all out race it will kick a RSTs ***.
Now RST v Pulsar, both oldish now, worth about the same, but pulsars better.

"Performance per pound" the GtiR is one of the best around i.e £15k overall spent (£5k+£10kmods) will get you 400bhp and into the 11's for the 1/4 mile. You would need to look hard for decent R at £5k though. Just becuase its cheap/cheaper does not mean its poor. In fact just £6k overall (£5k+£1kmods) will get you into the 12s.
I certainly don't try to make my R into a scoob, mine maywell be an alternative, but its what I prefer. I wouldn't change my R for any scoob around, and i've driven many. I respect scoobs, I respect their following and people's interest, and I agree they are quick and grip well, but if i'm spending overall what some of the people spend on hear then I would start off with an Evo instead, my opinion. The fact is, there are other cars out there too.

not good 1/4 mile due to grip, but 110 + terminal, 13.8 time
UK scoob is about 100 terminal ain it.......all be it faster times......
means nothing from 70 tho......new scoob is 18 secs to 100
the rst is 11.9, mine is less than 9

nah, my car aint no supercar, only got 240bhp too, thats slow for a scoob on scoobynet.
Yeah a heavily modded rst can beat a standard wrx, no big deal, a heavily modded wrx can beat a fst.
Read the thread properly yeah, best car isnt always the fastest, that fst can out accelarate a brand new m3, but dont mean that its any better or even on the same level.

anyway mates p1 had a lil race of the lights aainst sum red fiesta RST running what he said was around 220bhp, P1 left him standing, all you could hear was wheel spins and smell of rubber coming from the fiesta.

dingy is your 0-60 mph 5.5 sec time the fastest it does ? not taking the ****, just out of curiosity. or can you get more out of it. HOw bout 0-100mph and a 1/4 mile time.
redkop, why u callin me a sucker, my car does 0-60 in 5.19 seconds, and thats prodrive, u tellin me that talk cr@p too. They also say the P1 is a 4.7 second car 0-60mph, those aint slow times.
