Paintballing
Guys (And girl
AJ)
Just read your article about Paintballing and all this sounds fun. I'm retired from paintballing now but would like to go on a recreational basis. I see you're all planning it at Edinburgh but my ex team mate runs one in Ayrshire and is regarded as one of the best.
It has everything on the site, from buildings to trenches and is totally custom built.
I'm not sure where everyone is coming from but it suits me better if it was closer to Ayrshire.
As always, I can get discount for everyone, so the more the cheaper.
Cheers
Gordon

Isn't Ayrshire about 500miles from Dundee?
Gordon. If it's not too much bother, could you look into prices and availability on the weekend of 1/2 March.
It would then be a matter of deciding between your (plane flight material) venue or Robins in Edinburgh.
Cheers,
Paul

The memories of last time were enough to put me off for ever
Not only did i take about 5 headshots from close range, but the instructor type guy thought he would give my position away & leave me open to be shot at
I couldn't move the next again day
I'll stick to something a tad easier such as snooker or deep sea diving

Guys
Can't get a hold of him yet for Scooby discount but here's his web site http://www.scottishpaintballcentre.co.uk/. I've not got the time or patience to make it clickable so could someone do the honours?
Once I get a decent price for you guys, I'll let you know.
Cheers

P.S. It's actually in Fenwick (near Glasgow), there's a map on the Web Site.

I had a look at the website and it isn't too expensive
Plus it isn't that far from Glasgow, where is the one that Robin is talking about??
C'mon folks get some more girlies along, I don't fancy being the only one there but then again I'm just like one of the lads

Guys
Just spoke to Alan who runs the paintball site. March 1st and 2nd should be okay and they can take up to 100 people. I said it'll be in the region of around 30 to 40. And as for the price, I couldn't get any cheaper as he has "partners" in the firm so if his partners can't get discount for his friends then he can't do it either.
However I found something that might interest all of you. I found this on the paintball site
So if a few of us bulked buy then we can spread the cost between ourselves.
Let me know what you think.
Cheers

We're already offering the discounted rate of £5 per fifty paintballs across the board; with our bulk buy package we give you the opportunity to pre-buy 500 paintballs for £50 including equipment hire. This is the equivalent of an unbeatable £4 per fifty paintballs.
Let me know what you think.

Yeah, I remember the paint ***** themselves costing an absolute fortune the last time I went paintballing. If you dive about, you can easily burst some inside the plastic loader on top of the weapon. You then end up firing nothing but blanks
IIRC when it was organised through my work, it cost just £20 for the full day (including lunch), but at least another £40 - £50 just on *****
You go through these little beggars like nothing else (well, I do anyway; if it moves shoot it and even if it doesn't shoot it again just in case

You're absolutely right. I can survive all day on just 50 ***** but others need about 550 ***** in one game.
In my view, don't fire unless you're sure you're going to hit something/someone. It makes it a bit boring but also challenges you to be a good marksman.
Others say that this sport is very sore but I don't think it is compared to rugby or similar. Besides, the adrenlin takes the pain away.

It's only sore if you just wear just a thin t-shirt. Wear some thick layers of clothing and it'll be pain-free. I'd also recommend wearing a good woolly hat too as getting a ball in your lug-hole aint't too pretty. My rule is cover every exposed bit f flesh with at least a few layers
I've shot a few stationary targets in my time, so I'm out for the fun of blasting everything I see. Looking for more like 1,000 rounds and a mini-gun

ive been once
had my head and neck exposed only
so did most people
2 of my m8s got hit in the neck - the size of the mark (blood!), swelling and the pain was enough to make me a wimp for the next 3 games that day
