Yep thats right RJB, not so large as it used to be but now expanding.
Gas price up to nearly 5 times that of coal.
Imported coal now 10% more expensive than UK.
All collieries on 7 day week, can't keep up with demand.
Set 3 Electricians on my staff this week, anyone fancy a job?

We all thought we would only get a few years when Budge took over, fortunately its a plc and the board keep things in check I think.
The Government cash injection of £100 million will ensure RJB will have to invest and not rape the industry over the next five years at least. This subsidy is to retrieve reserves of coal lost due to lack of investment during the dash for gas distortion in the generating sector over the last few years.
For all you tax payers out there don't worry the Government has taken £4000 million, yes £4 billion pounds out of the Mineworkers Pension Scheme since privatisation so the £100 million subsidy is only a little back.

Director in family Medical Device Manufacturing Company.
I keep watching Casualty, Holby City etc. pointing out some of our products proclaiming "We made that and that ..... and that" etc. It can become very tedious for others in the same room!
